I'm thinking if the cable is long enough to mount it in my Tuffy case for double protection!

They come in three different lengths 5 foot, 6 and 7.

Hood lock install.

Drilled hole for lock cable

Installed cable

Installed rubber grommet to protect cable

Tapped radiator frame to secure lock striker

Lock striker installed

This is sweet....Exactly where the hood lock is on mine somebody cut the slot and that way OEM hood lock don't work.,what length worked for you?

I purchased the six foot length and it's plenty long enough.

Yes she definitely has the cool factor figured out. She has already been asking for the 40 to be her first car. Made me a proud Dad!!

New tires and installed some wheels that I had left over from an old 77 that I had. This is an 82 I bought last fall. Also a new water pump tans thermostat. Had to test everything out of course...

Added a little "retro" to the truck!

No pictures but, I started it after sitting in the garage all winter. Let it run and charge battery for a little while.
I ordered a new windshield and gasket so I can get rid of the cracked one it came with.
Soon to be on the road again once the salt is all washed away.

I put on new tires (33x10.50 KO2's), and found a custom built teardrop for sale that was light enough to pull. Then I drove 500 miles round trip to the 2016 LSLC Roundup in Mason, TX. It's nice to be far enough along in the rebuild to start driving it again.
