There was a break in the heavy rain that we have been having this week so I pulled it out of the garage and went for a short drive.

This was the first stroll since re-plumbing the old vacuum advance dizzy to the d-40 carb. It ran well and seemed to gain a little pep. The advance had been capped off since I got the truck a little over a year ago.View attachment 1173866

Beautiful truck!:hillbilly:

Took the dog for a snow walk. Got hung up. Used winch instead of right foot to get moving again. A good time had by all. :hillbilly:

Drove it to work. It will be 60 and sunny and the garage queen needs some UV exposure.

FSP stands for Familial Spastic Paraplegia (medical disorder)

@lostmarbles

FSP "Fuel Sucking Pig"

a belittling derogatory term used by the Prius/clean car owners of the world to describe .... us :)

thats what bunny huggers call us? lol

what all them bunny huggers forget is that the vehicles that get all the researchers out into the bush to study and protect all the animals are in fact FSP LCs :P

FSP.....Heck, install some of them colored fuses Mr. Coolerman now has for sale and you'll gain at least a few more miles down the road! :hillbilly:

Aha..

Never heard that acronym before ... but then I do lead a sheltered life... :)

Or maybe there's just fewer name-callers over here

Used mine as a tractor , since it's basically built to be just that - to move a shed . Upon completion , promptly got it stuck in 4lo by forgetting to unlock the hubs and a lack of lubrication on the shift linkage . Despite no diff locks , it got stuck pretty good but a few forward/reverse jerks got it loose . Need to use the 4wd hi/lo more often , note to self .

My rig needed a drink, so I took it to the Race Tack this morning.......uh, 'Racetrac' that is. I fueled my FSP (per @JohnnyC ) up with some ethanol free goodness. This station just opened last month, is only a few miles down the road from my office.

Nice to have two very local fuel stations offering ethanol free gas.
