Painted and installed a new bumper panel
Removed some of my rear heater hard lines
Shampooed the interior.
Tightened a squeaky belt
Fixed a rattle in my steering column cl shell
Painted my wiper arms
Adjusted my kick down cable
Washed it

My 80 is a 94 and did not come with a hitch or roof rack from the factor. It has 168k miles so I decided to throw a hitch, wire it to receive the Curt Echo Bluetooth e-brakes to pull my pup. Traveled about 700 round trip to test it out and do a couple days fishing. Was real slow going and bit boring drive. I usually tow the pup with my 2011 FJC which does waaaay better at towing. But bottom line is I need a pickup to tow more comfortable. Suffice to say I won’t tow with the 80 again. Not worth it.

Not exactly a this weekend mod, but i was tired of the ''home depot mod'' air oil separator not doing its job and having to be drained once a week from filling up with condensation. So i made a catch can out of a 20 oz radiator overflow tank and tapped my own fittings i had lying around. The OLD setup used to still let some oil vapor pass through and this new setup is collecting EVERYTHING into the can with an easy drain that goes next to the evaporator tube. Packed it full of steel wool as a baffle. All for under 100$

PDM mostly installed!
This was quite the experience since this is the first time I ever designed and build a bracket. Definem want to revisit since I chose the worse mounting points ever. Plus there is a lot of waste space and it will interfere with the location of a 2nd battery if I ever go that route.
But for now, Ill count it as a win!

Replaced the power steering reservoir with a salvaged one I cleaned up. A shame the original crapped out after only 29 and a half years.

Got out to Borrego to bomb around. Was cold and windy but wind was no factor when sleeping in the back of your cruiser!

Some of you will know exactly where I was!

Finally got around to extending diff and Tcase breathers. Glad I did. The little line coming off the T on the top of the case was rotting off the nipple on the T…would have failed.

Also. Wrapped up the Sliders. Dang. These thing are like wings.

Feel like the WKOR tuck up a little nicer, but these should also eliminate door dings.

And played with Fusion360 for the first time! I really want to redo this plate properly and with better use of space
Nice work on the mount and your first drawing! I watched a few tutorials on that program and love it. Fingers crossed I can install it on my work computer and cant wait to start dreaming things up lol. It's cool to make things by hand but with crap tooling I have I would much rather design it and have someone else do it right and much quicker.

Sleeping in the back of an 80 is the best place to sleep ;). Well 2nd best...I have to say the best is actually a Vanagon Syncro :)

Sliders look great! Did they deliver direct to your home address? As opposed to a receiver location with a dock?
