Just re-tubed it would be my bet.
Hey man! So I had an extra set of crossbars. I laid my treds down then put the crossbars on them(would recommend a 2x8 rather than treds as they have plastic pieces that dig into the cover). You could probably find another way than to use crossbars to get up higher/level with the ladder. I loaded the boats (sea kayaks, so long..) with the tailgate down. I recommend putting a towel down on the cover as you slide the boats up. Then I ran 1 30’ strap all the way around my lower load bars under the tent. It isn’t ideal for clearance, but got the job done. Cheers.Hey!
How did you mount those Frontrunner load bars on top of your RTT? I've been puzzling over how I would be able to carry kayaks AND the tent simultaneously.
I like the Tuffy Console. Those seem to be difficult to find these days? The location of your switches is nice too. Center console switches are the most convenient IMO since they can be switched without taking eyes off the road or a change to driving position. Definitely safer. I only have two switches for lights on my console but I like not having to even look at them to find them and turn them off/on even at night.
Yeah, mine is still a work in progress. Havent wired up the switches yet (still need to install all the lights that will be wired to them too) and I want to get some 12V power outlets and USB charging slots in it to at some point. Overall pretty happy with the Tuffy, the arm rest pad was too far back with the lock located on top. I moved the pad forward, but it now covers the lock (fine for now, as Im not storing anything in it that I am worried about, but will eventually move the lock mechanism to the side.I like the Tuffy Console. Used the down time waiting on a new knock sensor to take a 3rd shot at fixing the parking brakes. Had already installed new brake hardware previous, but still had binding. Finally saw an OTRAMM video explaining how the bell cranks seize and sure enough, that was my issue.
These were seized so badly I ended up having to cut the pins out of them to remove them. Then each side snapped a bolt on removal too. Oh, and the pull cable was snapped on one side.

Quick side note ... not sure if McGeorge or Toyota are the ones doing this, but putting the sticker right on any part large enough to hold it is a major PITA. Spent a bunch of time removing sticker glue from different parts. Just bags it ... then tag it.

New hardware. Heads up to others that components are labeled L and R for proper fitment.

Purple brake grease as per OTRAMM assembly video, what an outstanding community resource.

Done and assembled. Needed to recruit the kid for help in reassembly, just way too awkward trying to hold everything together at once.

Hoping this fixes my issue. The wheels will now rotate by hand, so should be all good again. Finger crossed, I want to be done working on this truck and back to driving it again soon.

I hate to say it, but you did better than I did. I only got about four seconds on mine. This week? Got it running after a month of work and about $4000 in modifications and blew the head gasket 7 miles into the test drive
