Got the windows tinted for a cooler drive to Portland then off to the NW Overland Rally.

In preparation for the GA Traverse next weekend, I replaced the PHH today. Not terrible, but definitely not enjoyable either.

Replaced a rear wheel stud. Put this off for a few years; running with just 5. Took two rounds of heat from a torch to hammer it out. Pulled through with two washers, a large nut and the lug nut. Not the best way but it worked. Hubs need some love.

Let us know how you like them. I am thinking of going with ICON but from the looks of these the rebound/compression is easy to adjust.

The ICON shocks are just a knob that can be easily turned by hand. Can't get much easier.

I think the BP51s are a good shock but remember that they are not a 2.5 like the ICON or KING remote res ones. Depending on the springs you have they can limit down travel as well compared to the ICONs.

That is good to know to thank you. I have ridden in several ICON equipped rigs and love the way they feel. Honestly, I am going to probably go with the ICON over the OME. But shocks/spring debates are like Ford Chevy Dodge, Toyota, Nissan, Honda debates.

Met up with some family that are camping close by. Chased them around on their quads and side by sides.

Spent the day exploring the pine valley mountains. Fun fact, the pine valleys are considered the largest granite laccolith in the world. Also I got to enjoy some amazing scenery and found a new trail to hike that was awesome and provided some cool views.

Started the Journey with the boys. Estes Park, then trail ridge road. Lots of snow. Went to Alluvial falls. Good times.

My little bro Jason did the lion’s share of the heavy lifting. He’s small enough to fit into the engine bay and muscle the exhaust manifold out after sawzalling the Y-pipes off to make it easier to remove.

Cleaned out under the cowl. Tossed out all the hood rubber and old wiper arms. New stuff going in.
