Black cap (G-Cat whispered to himself knowing that Nolaeioun has a plan). 😬

That may have to be a local thing later. We shall see. He wants it addressed.

One thing I can say super positive is the rust free condition of the top. All the bolts went in smooth as well. Overland Metric

Funny. I just spent the last hour filling in all of the holes the previous jackass drilled in the tub with bolts. Used some 3m dum dum to get a few cracks filled. Should stay pretty dry.

Late start today.

I started off removing the backwards wing window

I bought a whole door that had a good drivers wing window but I freaking snapped the rod off. Gonna have to get the Wizard to put the good one on the red frame

The rear handle was broken. I bought this one out of Indonesia. What a pain in the ass it is to replace this thing

Yesterday the Wizard came up and fixed the wing window.

I got the correct flange for this 78 shaft I had in the house. His driveshaft was a bit too long. I think the springs he had were the ones that push the axle back at rest in the middle of the fender well

I got the choke, throttle and vacuum line in then set the timing.

Tomorrow we are going to figure out a good way to secure this FJ55 air cleaner off to the side of the PS res

If you are comfortable with popping those head bolts, sectioning/extending/modding a stock F bracket would be the cleanest looking. I’m on the fence about securing to the fender.

It's too far away.

I would not go to the fender because the motor moves and the fender won't.

I'm going to make a bracket off the two bolts on the intake manifold

It will be a hard mount somewhere with a soft mount under the canister since it's more or less resting on the fender.

We will figure out something. I'm not crazy about trying to go to the head. It's a long way over to it. Maybe to the Saginaw bracket itself.
