How do they compare to actual stock 40 series PS?

They feel the same to me. Maybe smoother. About the same "boost"

I thought I had this thing done yesterday but I had a whistle coming out of the Holley adapter. It was not enough to effect the idle but even my deaf ass could hear it.

If I pulled down on the air cleaner slightly the whistle went away.

So this am I pulled it apart and added new gaskets with some copper spray on them.

That worked. No whistle.

I added a return spring to the throttle. It's got a different style throttle cable setup than I normally used and I was having to tap the throttle to get it to return to base idle so this fixed it.

Turns out the booster rod was way out of whack. No idea how it worked before it got here. Brakes are perfect now.

Great ride into town for gas. Gave it a tank full of 93. It was down to one gallon. Barely made it.

Runs superb. 3000ish RPM gets you 74-76 mph. That's scooting in a 40. 3.70s for the win

Speedo is about 12mph slow. Also the alternator is not charging. I put a new voltage regulator on so now I need to swap the alternator to see.

Really really a great driving, steering and stopping truck now

I had another alternator in the shop and stuck it on.

A little better.

My PowerProbe reads 13v at the charge post at idle and the battery was at 12.3 while the sniper readout hovers at 11.9-12

Bumps up under RPM but it seems a bit low.

I tried a second new voltage regulator and it's the same.
