How about an update on your thoughts for the rebuild.
It's all theoretical at this point. Waiting for a few events to unfold and I should be able to start the build.

Basically I am going to put longer coilovers in the front (10" to 14 or 16")
Doing trailing arm rear suspension and putting the 10" coilovers there.

Obviously a lot of body work, new interior setup, and pop top roof.

If you know you know..
We are not going to relive that nightmare either...

check-list.jpg

I've been working on my checklist all day..
Check axle bearings before trip.
Check date code on tires.
Top differentials off with grape scented oil.
Refill shocks with nitrogen.
Torque stretchy nuts.
Change engine oil.
Fill air conditioning with propane.
Refill air conditioning with R134A.
Check shackle angle!

Nice work. When I get home I need to do a few things also. I think I know who is winning the shackle contest! 😎

Nearly all of our inner circle jokes presented in a single post, and all under a $5,000 budget!
Brilliant sir!

And based on last year and a new set of springs I actually do need to check my stretchy nuts. Maybe my wife will help me? A truth and a joke in one post!

@fj55-100 are you still planning on going to the party?
What can I do to help?
Evan - good to bear that you may be able to attend PP25. When I stopped by your shop last month to say hello it wasn’t looking good at that point.

@bobm amd @J Mack I spent some time under the truck checking on things. Even tightened up the actual “stretchy nuts” on the ubolts from the Dobinsons lift kit…yep they needed it.
