I finally have a little something to add.
Setup is-
Bilsteins all around
Toytec coils up front
JBA UCAS
SSO spring retainers with new FJ OE coils
Method wheels

Looking great. This post was extremely helpful as I am running FJ (moog) rear springs and I have 5100's waiting to go on the front but couldnt decide on which springs to run in the front. I assume youre running the 2.5 toytecs?

Yes, I am running the 112-620 on the second clip.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I am completely new. If you put aftermarket suspension systems on the GX470 does that mean the "Comfort/Sport" settings will no longer work?

Correct. That is controlled by the OEM shocks.

That is correct, if you replace both the front and rear with springs/shocks the variable settings will no longer work.

Toytec Bilstein 3" coilovers
4Runner SR5 wheels powder coated metallic anthracite
Goodyear Duratrac 285/70/17

Had to trim 3" off the inside of the mud flap but otherwise no rubbing.

Unfortunately after putting 100 miles on this setup, I can say that it does indeed rub the upper control arm in reverse and in up/down hill tight turns.

I still need to have an alignment done (wanted the suspension to settle before I had it done), but I might have to try some very thin spacers I have kicking around to get those inside Duratrac sidewall lugs away from the UCAs.

Here’s my new setup, kept my stock suspension because I only had 42k miles and the PO garage kept it:

Suspension: 2.5 inch coil spacer in front, 1.5 inch airbag spacer in rear.
Tires: 285/70R17 on stock wheels
Spacer: Spidertrax 1.25 spacer

Still have rubbing on plastic in front fenders when doing a tight turn -plan to heat gun and cut if necessary...

As soon as she comes out of the shop, she's going on the chopping block to fund my endangered FJ60.

I'd like to see pics of that one during the day if you don't mind.

Don't mean to be a pest but if they're 0 wouldn't that be 4.5" backspacing? If 5" backspacing, that would be a +12.7 offset, no?

I checked an online offset calculator and they claim to take into account the lip on the rim which adds another 0.5” to the offset. A 9” wide rim with zero offset was reported as a 5” backspace.

Yeah, after some googling I saw some formulas add .5" to the calculation...and some don't haha. I guess I'll stick to offset. Anyhow, thanks for the specs. Exactly what I'm looking for.

It’s funny you say that because I could’ve sworn originally when I bought them they were advertised as 4.5”, but it’s since been changed to 5”.
