You want the Highway 22 Plus Universal Wiring System, it’s the only wiring system that lets you decide the size of the circuit giving you unlimited possibilities. For instance if you want a dedicated 30 amp circuit for your rear window and you’re not using circuit #13 “PARK 15 amp Battery power for park lamps” in the American Autowire panel then just up size your wire & fuse, relabel and you’re done. This is not an option on a prewired panel.

I’ve been using the Group 34/78 batteries lately and like having the side terminals to attach stuff like winch power.

Take a look at the X-2 power batteries at Batteries Plus, very similar to the Odyssey and some would argue they are better..

For adding extra fuses and relays for stuff like your fuel pumps and fans I use the Eaton's Bussmann Mini Fuse Panels, the 15305-4-0-4 RTMR holds 5 Micro Relays & 10 Mini Fuses..

Thank you! I’ve been searching for something like that for days now. I’ve found a couple similar possibilities on Amazon and eBay, but nothing I’ve been super excited about. American Autowire carries another panel that I do like, but have been trying to find an alternative that is somewhat close and not so spendy. Looks like Waytek that you linked has that same panel that I like.

Yeah he did! That catalog is a candy store!
They’ve got technical drawings on almost everything which has helped me conclude that the engine harness fuse block I’ve been mulling over, isn’t really what I’m looking for.
The one Jim posted looks to be the one that covers all the bases

It mounts to a flat surface with the wiring coming out the bottom. I’m visioning needing to build a pedestal mount that’s open on the bottom and placing it possibly on the driver side up closer to the firewall beside the master cylinders.

Thought I’d take a stab at working the factory harness out before opting for a bought harness. Following LT1swap.com ( LT1 Swap - https://lt1swap.com/ ) instructions and pin chart. Removed everything that was recommended to remove in the pin chart. Also removed everything to do with the auto transmission except to VSS wires. Got everything going to what they call the C2 plug sorted out, and got it removed. The 12v’s for the coil plugs, all 8 injectors, the MAF sensor, and O2 sensors will all be rerouted to the soon-to-be new under hood fuse box, as well as the the fuel pump relay, and possibly something else

This guy ( @dbbowen )did a good write-up in the 60 section concerning LS swapping

Yeah, it’s been years and EFI harness I did was from the 80s but the principal is the same, one wire at time is right.

Spent a few minutes in the middle of a spaghetti pile of wires when we swapped to the TBI engine. Ordered a Painless harness. Best $400 I spent. Had to change one connector and had it running in minutes. But then any form of electricity is "magic" to me. Never could understand how all those watts and volts and ohms and amps fit inside those little wires and my helper is color blind. Fuses and bulbs are about the limit of my competence.

I paired my ls down and I’m glad I did, but I’m still bamboozled everyone I wire a relay. It was a great Covid project tho.

Lots of Cruiser project irons in the fire right now, trying to reason out which ones I should delegate my time to. Saturday was shot to sh*t, so got moving today on these two lovelies - new dual battery tray and the wiring harness.

Bent up the bottom of the tray and hopefully have a solid plan for the sides worked out. It will also have a bottom mounting support made out of
2” x 1/8” flat stock.

Got the idea to plan out the harness by taping and zip-tying it to a section of peg-board by the guy I bought the engine from. Took some measurements in the Cruiser and roughed out where I want the harness to be and mocked the ECM and the old intake manifold and got everything mostly run out to the area where it’s going or heading. Next will just be a matter of lengthening or shortening to fit.
