Started to cut out some of the cancer. It looks like this truck was driven through a couple of river crossings. I pulled out lots of red silt and rusty pieces in there. Right now, I'm leaning toward doing a small rear quarter chop. Maybe...

I like the 1/4 chop.

You may have already heard/thought about placing some kind of drain holes in the 1/4 bottoms like stock. I looked at a 60 years ago with a similar chop, and it was rusting out again. The seller said he did not think it needed drains when he chopped them, but that water finds its ways in and has no exit.

Just something to consider.

How are those wheels working in the rear for you? I put a set on my 60 and the front cleared by about 1/2" but the rears are rubbing when articulated.
Ordered 1.25" spacers for all 4 corners

Looks good. Being a 60 series dummy I had to look at another photo to see how much was cut.

I wish I had been keeping up with this thread better. My local pic and pull has a very solid 60 that has been stripped and just a solid body sitting there. I’m probably going to grab a few thing soon when everything starts thawing.

I opened up one of the openings in the inner fender wall and rerouted the hose to the air cleaner. I now have a functional dorkel. I'm not a fan of them, but at least it's hooked up now.

Just an update. I drove my crusty diesel to Roundup last month and had a blast. She was pulling my Bantam trailer with the RTT strapped to it and didn't skip a beat.

I also ordered one of @Fourrunner 's rear bumper DIY kits. I'm going to use some Southco latches similar to what's on my 40 for this project. Should be fun. Now all I need is some free time to weld it up!

I almost forgot. I ordered these $55 JW Speaker LED headlight clones off of Amazon. Man, these are great for the money. I did have to use a cheap ground switching conversion harness that I also got off of Amazon to make these work.
