That thing is sweet. Looks like it could have rolled out of the factory like that. I thought I would have enough room but nice to confirm.I did, but it works really well.View attachment 3841511View attachment 3841512

Thank you. Let me know if you need any measurements for the motor mounts or anything else. That thing is sweet. Looks like it could have rolled out of the factory like that. I thought I would have enough room but nice to confirm.
So I have been communicating with Luke, and Rebecca, at DieselPumpUK. After initially being told that they were going to be making these adapters, they have since said that “it does not make engineering sense to produce this kit as the cast iron housing makes the task not viable.” Is this what you have been told also? It has me very confused. They instead suggested using their bj73 kit and the associated bellhousing + clutch parts but those seem to be nearly unobtainable here in the US. Big bummer at the moment.I’m doing this swap as well. Shoot Luke an email about it if you want but I sent him a 3F bell housing, shift fork, throwout bearing and collar and clutch slave to tweak his current H55/BJ73 adapter to work with that setup.
That is news to me. I haven’t heard from DPUK since Luke and I spoke last, back in mid February. So I have been communicating with Luke, and Rebecca, at DieselPumpUK. Might want to check in, I am really scrambling to get this figured out as I want to get this done before August. I have asked for an explanation and maybe they will change their minds. That is news to me. I haven’t heard from DPUK since Luke and I spoke last, back in mid February.
Well, his kit includes a throwout bearing to suit the pressure plate and clutch supplied and uses an oilite bush on the flywheel in lieu of a pilot bearing.Does anyone know of a source for the bj73 (3b?) bellhousing and associated parts? Am I correct in assuming that I would need a release fork, slave cylinder, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing from what I have? I can’t seem to find anything. It also seems weird that he describes his bj73 kit as using a 10 spline input shaft when from what I have read a 3b truck would have a 27 spline shaft.
Aha, so that is what we are looking for. Just did a quick search and it seems like those are even more obscure (just used in European market trucks)1990+ BJ73’s with the 2.5L VM motors used an H55F with 10 spline shaft
I found parts diagrams for the 1990+ VM powered BJ73. Part number 31111-60160, clutch housing.Aha, so that is what we are looking for. Just did a quick search and it seems like those are even more obscure (just used in European market trucks), and I can’t seem to find much on the bell housing. Thanks for figuring that out. Anyone else around here dealt with these?
See if you can get the matching clutch fork and collar as well.Awesome work. I have a stock request in for that bell housing at RHD Japan, looks like ~450$ before shipping etc if they have them. Will let you know how that goes.

Their video shows it on the RH side here....
But BJ bells have it on the LH side.
