Old pictures on phones taken in your home or around it are some of the best things people like Kevos in this fire can use to help with claims. This thread shows contents of what’s in the garage and that helps with recovery costs. Praying for you Kevos keep your head up bud.

Holy crap! I had no idea that so many in the Cruiser community were directly affected by these fires! Watching the news has been akin to seeing some disaster flick... Totally unreal... Glad you and yours are safe.
I think about the nice wiring harness I got from you. It was nicely packed away, ready to install.

I would be a blubbering idiot at this point if I were in your shoes... Such a heart breaking loss...

My own project is at risk as my insurance company will not insure my shop due to a wood stove I installed. Said if you store a vehicle with gas in the same building as the wood stove, they will not cover it period. I noticed your shop also has a wood stove?

If it would be of any use to you, I can give you a receipt for the harness for the insurance company. We can call it a very valuable piece of wall art that was lost in the fire... Hell if they would cover a shelf why not wall art?

I'm sorry to hear of your loss and wish you the best in the future.
I just did a restro, last year on my cruiser. My insurance company of 20+ years told
me they can't give me full coverage because it's "too old". So now, during the winter
I stay off roads during a storm since it's my only and DD vehicle. And since I don't do
credit cards I can't rent a car if I had an accident.
Hang in there!

Not to rub salt in wounds here, but automobile insurance wouldn’t come Into play for the act of god? Asking since that would of been my assumption, but not sure now.

The comprehensive coverage on an auto policy covers fire, act of God or not.

Just depressing .....

The piggie looks sad but still their, the 40 is toast with probably a good cowl and frame-hopefully some solid floor pieces. Looks like a beam fell and killed the rear of the tub. You and your family are safe which is the good part. Thankfully its not the other way around. Sorry for you loss sir.

Got to go in today. All the effort, up in smoke! I'm glad they limit us the 15 minutes.

So sorry Kevo
I was hoping that the 40 would be spared. Oh well.... I see some other parts made it. When I can get back up there we will see.

This one hurt, a next to new warn 8274.

This hurts us all to see this. Good luck and be strong, you sound like a Good man!

The table with extraordinary attention to parts detail. The shop with extraordinary attention to needed and functional tools. The extraordinary skill with the rig itself in making upgraded parts and employing original parts. The extraordinary connection to others in the MUD community with knowledge and parts.

I only know you through this forum and the few parts I picked a little while back. And I know you’ll be back. And we all will be the beneficiaries.

And I look forward to that surviving acorn hubcap hanging on the new shop wall or on the next classic restore.

I pray for His Peace in these trials. Paul

Never has your sig line been more profoundly juxtaposed that with that pic...except for that smilie. Might want to change that Kevin.

I was just thinking this morning of the discipline you showed in not going into the property sooner. I don’t think I could have waited so long.

Another sign of your character. :)
Thanks Mark,
I thought about changing my signature line but nothing's really changed. I remember a phrase I saw on a co-worker's desk when I was in the military. It's your attitude not your aptitude that will determine your altitude. Nothing's changed, I will still enjoy restoring things and having the satisfaction from that. The time that I took to Tool up to do a project was fun! But to take for my tagline there definitely was a lesson learned. Stick some stupid insurance on your project! Thank you for your kind words again.

Your friend
Kevo

Thank you Paul
You know I went all the way up there and surveyed the Carnage and to be honest I never shed a tear until I read your comments. It means a lot to me.

Kevo,

Having just toured your amazing shop and property a week before, I am at a loss for words. I cannot believe that’s the 40 I saw just days before the fire. All the little details we talked about, I was very impressed with the quality and attention to detail at every step of the build. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I can bring my trailer and load up whatever is salvageable and store it at my place until you are back on your feet.
