Kevo,

Having just toured your amazing shop and property a week before, I am at a loss for words. I cannot believe that’s the 40 I saw just days before the fire. All the little details we talked about, I was very impressed with the quality and attention to detail at every step of the build. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I can bring my trailer and load up whatever is salvageable and store it at my place until you are back on your feet.
When I went up there today I was hoping that my trailer is intact just needing some tires. But unfortunately the thing had taking too much Heat and was warped. If I have my shop and tools I could maybe do something with it. I was talking to my good friends who are storing my motorcycle right now and he insisted that I use his small trailer for the interim and store all of my parts out at his place for as long as I need. It is good to have friends.

Having a sense of moving forward is really important. After the warehouse fire I found a lot of value in bringing a second conex onto my own property so I could move things out of the mess and feel like I was getting some kind of a handle on things.

You can probably get one from Oakland for about what it cost me to get one from Long Beach.

I was surfing craigslist looking for a trailer. I noticed a massive increase in storage container posting. Just like the lawyer listing on facebook!

Damn. I can’t imagine.

I’m sorry to see these pics, I was hoping for the best the whole time you were waiting.

:crybaby:

I was just thinking about you @kevos37.

I'm sorry to see that you were impacted so severely by this.

If you have need of a full sized car trailer, I can get my project off mine and bring it out your way.

Thank you for your offer. We are still unable to retrieve anything until the insurance adjuster and estimator show up.. But the vehicle is not covered so it is free to go.

I remember you were very forthcoming and helpful with locating parts. Too bad I never had the opportunity to pick up the parts from you. But nevertheless I appreciated your generosity. I was thinking if you could use the 55 you are welcome to it. It would need to have some roller tires to move it. I think there would be some usable Parts on it.

Got to go up today, found one redeeming artifact, a Vader light in good shape. Other stuff not so good.....

I just can’t like that post.

Looks like there were some good parts there at one time.

Yes there were a few good parts gone bad. But I think we saved a couple today . The wife wa quite helpful!

Kevo,
I’m finishing up a Resto on a ‘65 and I have double ordered some parts, and ordered the wrong parts from time to time. I’ll keep an eye out for what you are doing in the future and if i have anything that you are needing consider it yours.
Keep your head up and don’t hesitate to ask for help. God bless.

Mark,

Thank you for the generous offer. I will probably need a whole new project to start on. Next one may be not so "perfect" , probably will have a V8.

From the looks of things, it is going to take a couple years before we can rebuild our house. In the interim I'm going to see if I can build a shop on the top part of my property and make some accommodations inside of it for my family. That would provide some normalcy for my family. But that's probably 6 months off from starting.

Jeez how many door check stops did u have? I think I see half a dozen. They should be good right? I dont think they have any plastic in them. How about the front grill ? Is that OK?
I had a few pair of door stops. The sheet metal that was left over all seem to have a little tweak to them. I imagine I can be massaged out. I'm going to just set them aside.

I have parts that I’d gladly donate as well! We ought to get a running list of things to donate as a mud community and go from there. I think this was done for a Soldier’s son who was killed in Iraq/Afghanistan. Start with a frame, someone might have a tub, etc. etc. I think Rob and others were instrumental in making it a reality. @landcrusher909

Thanks guys ! I really don't have alot to use off my 67. I was thinking of reusing the axles, I don't know if the heat baked them. I had disc on the front and back.
