Yo-just looking for some feedback on a 100 series land cruiser that I'm trying to buy. It is a '98 desert bronze metallic with only 95,000 miles w/diff lock, at a toyota dealership. It looks like its in really good condition and they just did the timing belt service on it. They also just lowered their price from $14.6 down to $13.9. I was trying to negotiate down to $13K but they're saying that it's a fair price and not wanting to go down at all. I can't look at it because it is 10 hours away from me but was planning to buy it sight unseen, unless I take a drive.
I think its worth between $12K and $13K. I actually purchased our other '98 LC about a year and a half ago for $11.6K with only 99,000 miles at a dealership. And it was garage...

Looking for a complete running truck that is otherwise wasted (read: I don't want to spend a boatload of cash). I want to pull the 2UZ/Tranny/Transfer to swap into my FJ45LV... Mileage should be in the sub-150k range. It should be within easy pick up range to metro NY.

Very clean. All maintenance is up to date. We have owned the vehicle for 5 years and its been great. The previous owner had it in Prince Albert Saskatchewan and before that the truck was from Oregon. I have Owned this LC for the past few years and truly enjoyed every minute. I Purchased this Land Cruiser from a very nice family in the Denver area. They had owned it for most of the cruisers life. To my understanding based on talking with them and the carfax, auto check etc.. They purchased it from a gentleman from the North who owned it on a lease for the first few years of its life. That being said I’m the Third owner. Perfectly clean Carfax, Auto check etc.. It has never been in an accident nor had any kind of paint/body work done. (I’m very particular about my vehicles and would not have purchased this LC if that were not the case.) I have thoroughly enjoyed building this Land Cruiser for Expedition / Camping for our family...
