My minster is moving to the bush in Liberia (west Africa) for an indefinite period of time and is looking for a LC for travel between several villages. He's looking for:
* manual transmission
* mods not necessary
* no major mechanical issues (reliability will be a factor, but as we all know, these aren't new trucks. They will need maintenance)
* no rust
* $4-6k range
* we are in Florida and it would be great to find something somewhat nearby
My questions are:
a) is it realistic to find one as described above in the price range described?
b) I recommended a 60 series, but he's concerned with the truck age. Are any 80 series LC's manual?

I just bought an 80 and i cant get my wife out of it. she currently has a 2008 Chevrolet Impala LT. We just had dark tint put on it and it looks pretty freakin good. I have kept great care of this car and even Use Amsoil 1 year oil and filter. I Just changed it In March of this year so there is quite a bit of time left on it. (I have reciepts and dealer info if needed...)

Bought this 2H diesel HJ60 in ontario about 3 years ago. Runs awesome, extremely rusted. The plan was put the powertrain into a rust free 62 with some rear quarter damage that was acquired from texas. Pictures tomorrow will be worth a thousand words. HJ was legally imported($$) and have HJ ohio title in hand. Just too busy with other stuff and this project has gone completely by the wayside. Sick of staring at it and paying storage fees.

Driven about 1500miles without trouble 3 years ago and then parked her. everything used to work. Now, not so much. Something up with the edic, kills the motor right after starting. Did the oil switch d/c, relay troubleshooting, blah...

1993 Toyota Landcruiser for sale. No Lockers. This has been my daily driver for 3 years and has 198k miles, tune up when I bought it(165k), rear brakes right after that, new front brakes, Hankook 265's with a LOT of tread left (great tire) new shocks about 10,000 miles ago, new Pioneer speakers all around, new power window motor in driver side, new starter in January 2010, new battery in March 2010. No other known issues. Air blows cols and shifts smooth.
Flareless, running boardless, leather is worn on drivers side, a small rust spot on drivers side rear rocker panel just above the bumper that was there when I removed the flares and steps. I was going to sand & Rhino Line the entire rocker panel, but never got...

Located in centrial Ontario, I have an 86 I over heated and lost the number six piston. Bore is damaged, however the head has been machined, with no cracks, guides and valves all good. Also the injectors are rebuilt. Springs rearched to give a great look. Rust in normal places on the body. The frame is in great shape, with no holes at rear spring mount. Tires are not as shown, however comes with orignial size rubber that is new. I'm the third owner, second was my father. Sad to see it go however need a regular daily driver, so I can work on my 69 fj40. I am looking to get $3500.00 out of the old girl. You can offer me more but I'll settle on the 3500.
