Not mine, just more of an FYI for any potential buyers. I’m not asking for a pittyfest just more of a heads up. It’s a great price, but should probably be towed home. I inspected the vehicle. Did some due diligence prior to flying from Chicago. If anyone is interested in the cruiser the seller seemed to leave out a few key notes below: -Does have rust along the gutters and there’s bondo -Needs Alignment -Brakes are extremely inadequate, pedal sinks to the floor, almost to the point where it’s basically pretty dangerous... -some blow by (could just need a valve adjustment as CD mentioned) -typical old 2H oil leaks Good luck
Hello everyone - I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this - but I just pushed my listing live with Bring a Trailer: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1985-toyota-land-cruiser-fj60-67/ *please let me know if there is a better place to post this on these forums! Of course you can see all the details at the link - but here's the short of it. I'm incredibly sad to have made the decision to sell this vehicle. A lot of love, blood, sweat and tears have gone into this rebuild over the years. But with my role as a new dad and lots more driving - I have made the tough call to part ways in favor of something more modern and ahem fuel efficient. The body is in amazing shape with a little rust in the rain rails up top and along the...
SW WA State 1985 FJ60 Resto-mod
1985 Toyota FJ-60 Land Cruiser $28,600 337,200 miles, 36,000 since restoration Southern Washington state, 30 mins North of Portland International Airport (PDX) For sale is our treasured 1985 FJ-60 Land Cruiser. It has provided many adventures during our 17 years of ownership and 36K trouble-free miles since its comprehensive restoration. My wife and I have reached that age where climbing the ladder to the RTT isn’t as much fun anymore, and we’re realizing its stored more than used. A hard-side trailer is in our future, and the Cruiser needs to find a new owner who will appreciate it! I’m the third owner, purchased in 2002 with 306K odometer miles. It had a crude but working old V-8 conversion already done, good original body...
Manchester, CT 87 FJ60/62 Time to move on, life changes
Well the time has come, life changes and need to let my FJ60 go. I have owned this truck since May 2015 with plans to restore it that have still not happened. 183K, just never drive her. Starts right up and runs smooth. 65-70 MPH on the highway, no issue. Shifts all four no issues, 4 Hi and 4 Lo same. Replaced the original to me Warn hubs with factory Aisin hubs in 2020. Front brakes were replaced/upgraded to T100/Tundra rotors and 80 series master cylinder 2019. Tires were new 2017. New custom exhaust header back in 2019. Nice sound/rumble with out...
Photoshop on eBay listing
I was quite interested in a 60 offered by a seller that goes by “European-cars” on eBay, apparently good reviews, car looked great on photos. Paid deposit, scheduled an inspection and was quite surprised to find some serious enhancement of photos on their behalf . Here are a couple of comparisons, and listing. I asked politely for a refund of deposit but was not granted such, still debating if I should address it with cc dispute dept 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD Manual L6 FJ60 Tow Package Clean CARFAX Rare! | eBay
Hey Yall I am looking for a 60 or 62, I am looking for my dad; we had had a 60 and 62 when I was born but we had to sell them for financial reasons. I’ve been looking for one so I could surprise him with it since he regrets selling them long ago. ideally one around 5-6k. One that needs work, but no rust. Does not have to be running. Would prefer if it was fairly left to stock. Thanks Yall

Hello, I'm finally looking (after years of thinking about it, and reading through tons of build threads here, and I finally have a garage I can use) to get my first Cruiser. Ideally a 60/62 fixer upper, that I can work on over time as a project, just have fun and learn with. Won't be my daily driver or anything. Budget is basically $5-6k at the tip top end (I know I picked a bad time to finally pick one up with the market what it is, such is life). Would of course like to spend less so that I can afford more tools/materials to get started. I'm in CA so something with the smog equipment still intact, beyond that hopefully something running and without a crazy amount of rust. I don't mind some body/roof rust, and obviously expect it...
Interested in purchasing a FJ60/62 and I am trying to stay around $15k if possible. I am not interested in swapped engine trucks and the closer to stock the better for me. I do not mind mild builds but this will mainly be used for cruising around town so I do not need tons of off road modifications. Parameters: 100% open to color Very littIe paintwork (non preferred) No rust unless incredibly minor. Thanks! Kevin 832 724-3421

Hey guys/gals Have an ‘87 FJ60 up for sale. Over the last 8 years this truck has been in my family, and we’ve replaced just about everything. New Vinyl upholstery in factory gray color for seats.
