I'm new as can be to IH8Mud, but happy to be here after searching for a good one for the past several months (and largely coming up short). I'm coming from a '96 Buick Roadmaster (RIP) and drive around the country pretty often photographing & exploring. Have a pretty limited budget (~$10k, 15 MAX) and have dreamt of an LC of any kind for years and years. I feel that finding a 100 series is my best bet for something reliable, but am equally as interested in a 60 or 80 if I can find the right deal. It doesn't have to be pretty inside, and even a little bit of rust won't scare me off. Looking to adopt a reliable thing that I can do some modest upgrades on / grow with for the next decade +. Tired of losing at BaT.

Up For Sale is a 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser (FJ 60) with 216,875 miles on the 2F and factory 4 Speed with Fairy Overdrive. I purchased the vehicle in 2018 with plans to build it out in the future but another opportunity has come along so I'm letting it go.
The clutch, transmission fluid, carb, and oil is all less than 500 miles, along with new Falken Wildpeak AT3. She starts on the 2nd turn after priming the carb and has a working carb cooler with a kill switch on that.
Original color of the vehicle was white hence the blue/gray interior, previous owner painted it in OE Beige (464). Center console is a Tuffy Box, in dash player is a Retro Manufacturing player that supports FM/AM/Bluetooth. Aftermarket alarm with power locks.

Looking to buy a rust free `85-`87 60 under ~175k miles. Clean interior and as close to stock as possible. Would rather not have to do a complete windows-out paint job, so exterior in nice shape as well. Not tied to a specific color, but would like it to be original factory color with repaints being on the table.
Open to some mods, but don't need a 3" lift, 33" tires and ARB bumpers. A HF55 would be amazing, but not a deal breaker if it has the 4-speed. Can do the swap myself.
I'm located in Los Angeles, so I'd rather not go down the rabbit hole with a desmogged vehicle.
I know what I'm asking for, so my budget is comparable.

the carpet was not salvageable at all and wanted to get a better look at the overall condition
of every nook and cranny on the car.

Posting for a neighbor of mine who has it listed on FB Marketplace, where you can find his contact info and more pictures. The big selling points of this truck are definitely 1) he is the original owner with receipts for mechanical work and 2) the body/frame/paint. Paint is original and in good condition and the truck appears to have no rust on body and frame. I have driven the truck and did not notice any drivability issues. It does take 5 seconds or more to crank over. The seller has a complete set of leather seat covers that he can include in the sale. I am looking to sell my 1988 FJ62. I have owned the vehicle since 2020 and it has been in my garage when its not being driven. I have not had the time that I thought I would (dreamer) to do all of the restoration I wanted to and would like it to go to someone that will do all the right things. Quick background on it; I bought the FJ62 from the guy that owns State Automotive here in Salt Lake that really specializes in Land Cruisers and Toyotas. The engine was replaced with one with roughly 150k miles I was told but the body has 211,270 miles on it. 250,XXX miles. I do drive it to work at least once per week so it will go up.
It does have a oil leak from the rear main. Nothing to bad but yes it does leak oil.
Just had serviced at Toyota in Longview. Oil change, AC service and Inspection.
Old Man Emu lift w/ steering stabilizer Heavy leafs in the rear and mediums in the front.

AC blows cold. Heater blow hot in the front as well as the rear heater.
Transmission shifts great. Was told by previous owner he had it rebuilt but I did not receive any paperwork stating this.

Hello! As I'm moving across the country I unfortunately need to sell my 1988 FJ62 Landcruiser. This is my 5th 60/62 and probably the ugliest duckling out of the group.
She's far from perfect and I'm going to try and be as honest as I possibly can. Unfortunately I bought this truck not knowing it was a rebuilt title (wasn't listed on the Idaho title and I failed to check with the DMV/CarFax. CarFax is included below, it was in an accident November 1988)
The good:
-Like new KO2's
-Motor rebuilt 2.5 years/5k miles ago
-Knuckles rebuilt along with front rotors 1k miles ago
-Roof gutter/rails don't have rust
-Always starts
-Shifts smooth
-Will cruise at 70 all day
-Newer exhaust
-Doesn't smoke or burn oil
-OME heavy duty lift (Worn out)...
Originally sold at Big Horn Toyota in Glenwood Springs in 1988. Has lived its whole life in the Roaring Fork Valley. This has been a great truck and given us a ton of great family memories. Time to send her down the road. I need a better daily driver and something that will tow our 22-ft camper into the Colorado high country.
