This has been a hard decision but I just dont drive the FJ60 anymore. It just sits under the garage while I drive the FZJ80. I looked for 2yrs for this FJ60 and found it here in Charleston. I am the the second owner. The first owner bought it in Atlanta, GA for the Toyota dealership in 1986 where it was garaged everynight.
The 60 is is very good condition with no rust. It has 139,XXX miles and just had the oil changed. I install the ARB on the front with 10,000lb winch. I also installed the Specter Offroad 3in heavy lift about 4 months ago in a HAMOM with my local landcruiser group. There are no cracks in the dash and no rips or tears in the seats. The only issue with the seats is the driver side seat has the usual rips...
Hi I have a 1985 FJ60 Land Cruiser for sale with 235,XXX miles. I own a Land Cruiser shop in Placerville. We purchased this from the original owner that seized the motor. The good news is we have a motor for it and this cruiser passed smog only a few months ago. We will be including our good running longblock from a 84 FJ60, a good radiator as the one in the Cruiser is rough, and many spare parts.

Here is the story on the truck....
I got in two summers ago from a seller in PA... it was sitting for a couple of years and needed break and exhaust work. It ran pretty well and even though the body has rust, I was willing to take on the challange. Well, I did all the needed mechanical stuff first... tune up (plugs and wires), breaks completely redone and new exhaust, break master cylinder, some other stuff I forget... spent about $1200 and auto shop has records if you need. Was driving well after that, but would run hot if I was driving unded 25mph so I only drove it a couple of times... mechanic said it needs a new thermostat. So, a few months back I drove it to school and forgot to turn the lights off... battery...
Thought I'd never put her up for sale, but all things considered I'm going to put it up. I love this ride. Akarilo customized Turbo job, 3" lift. Aussie lockers F/R, 1.5" wheel spacers. Rust free. I've had the interior floors rhinolined including the back of the rear seats by pros....ran me $1900. Installed cd player with MP3 aux hookup. FJ cruiser rubber mats. Custom duct tape drivers seat.

I have a 1984 FJ60 with a Mercedes turbo diesel and automatic transmission installed... Comes with a Toyota t-case (not installed) and a pile of spare parts. Engine has a rebuilt head with zero miles. 5-cylinder 1985 model out of a 300D.
Lots more pictures are online here. It's in really quite good shape. Hell, the headliner isn't even sagging at all! Rust around right rear fender, bent rocker panels. Doors "thump" when they close, no rattles, and the doors and tailgate and hatch are all solid.

I will start by saying, i do not want to sell this rig (as is the case with all of my 60's i have sold) The reason I bought it is: I was approached by the owner. He saw I was selling my brown 84, and had an idea i would want to replace it. He was correct, and his fit exactly what i wanted/want. I could not walk away from it so i bought it. At the same time I had a 91 fj80 lined up for my wife. She turned her rig down to save money. Today she decided I need to sell the 62 and go get her 80, so I will oblige. We absolutely LOVE our Cruisers, we just need a 62 and an 80, just wont work out at this time, so she gets hers, and i'll get mine later.

I bought her about 3 months ago to build into a expedition rig. This rig has been very well mantained with service records. When I bought the 62 it already had a 2.5" lift with OME Dakar heavy/heavy springs, shocks and steering damper...this lift is about a year old. I added to the lift buy installing the MAF shackle reversal kit and longer anti-inversion shackles in the rear. I also installed MAF longer front and rear brake lines. I added the FZJ80 wheels with OEM wheel lug nuts and locks with spacers. The 33" BFG AT's are brand new. Total lift is about 4 to 4.5 inches. Installed caster shims front and rear, performed full alignment. All done by myself in my shop.
