For Sale Very Clean FJ60 Project in Northern California

Hi I have a 1985 FJ60 Land Cruiser for sale with 235,XXX miles. I own a Land Cruiser shop in Placerville. We purchased this from the original owner that seized the motor. The good news is we have a motor for it and this cruiser passed smog only a few months ago. We will be including our good running longblock from a 84 FJ60, a good radiator as the one in the Cruiser is rough, and many spare parts.

Our shop would be happy to perform the swap for you as well. If you would be interested in that we can discuss a deal.

Price is $1900 as is.

The good:
99% rust free from what we can tell
new paint less than two years ago
Extra Motor
Extra parts
good lights and lenses all the way around
decent tires
Newer exhaust
Obviously all good smog equipment
Add a leaf lift
Good head

The bad:
Bad Motor
small ding on passenger rear near taillight
hood has cracking bondo in the middle (we can include a good straight hood just needs paint)
dash is cracked, but as a nice dash cover mat
driver seat bottom is rough
Cracked windshield
Passenger hub is leaking

All in all this is a great Cruiser to start with. It will be hard to find a cleaner body at this price. Would actually be perfect for a body swap and part the rest.

how many miles on the good motor supplied?

So in your estimation if the buyer were to put all the parts together successfully it would at least run?

It had 18X,XXX I have the speedo from it I think. I would use the head from the bad motor, because she had work done on it recently, and it is unaffected.

If it was hooked up properly I can absolutely guarantee it will run, and run well. I drove the other truck around for months before we parted it and it ran fine.
