A 1983 BJ 60 that is going to Nanaimo early next week for parting out. The 3B engine with 252,000km will be for sale along with the manual transmission. Both are in great shape to my knowledge. $3000 with the engine removed, crated, tarped and compression tested. Axles off of that vehicle are also for sale along with any other parts you might want..really the only major thing of note would be the rad, leafs, ujoints, shocks, exhaust which is near new, trailer hitch, 31 inch mudstars ($400). Delivery is possible but pick up is preferred as I am a teacher in a small native community on the west coast of Vancouver Island and my time to deliver to the border or elsewhere is tight.

I've been doing a lot of searches for an 60 in my budget. I live in Texas and am willing to drive as far as California. I'd prefer driving west to pick something up, but I'll take anything into consideration.
I'd really like to get something with little to no rust and and something that I could possibly drive back to Texas. I'm not throwing the idea of using a trailer out, but would rather drive it back.
Stock or mod'd. If it's stock, I'll do my own mods and that fine with me. Price has to be right though. Budget is under $8000. I'd really like to get something around 3 or 4 and do my mods. Or something that already has mods for up to 6. Let me know, if you're interested in selling!

I had a 2H (163k miles from cruiserparts.net) professionally installed into my FJ62.
The rig has:
NEW 5-speed (H55F) from cruiserparts.net replacing the problematic automatic tranny. Cost $6700 for engine / tranny package alone (not including installation).
transfer case out of an FJ60.
new clutch / rear main seal
All correct parts for 2H conversion including drive shafts, crossmember, vacuum pump, clutch pedal, etc.
New alternator
new hoses
new glowplugs
New fuel filters
New oil filter

This Classic Land Cruiser needs a good home. The body is rough, but the 4x4 is in great condition, the a/c is frigid, the interior is fair, runs great. Some not-so-nice person stole the catalytic convertors, so the exhaust is loud. Asking $2200. need to sell my fj62. its an '89 with "only" 274,000 on the clock...
despite the high mileage it runs great!
well maintained by previous owner and while i only bought it a month ago, it has served me well.
i have run into some tough times though and need to liquidate some things....and my cruiser has to go.
replaced the fuel pump last week and the fuel pulsation damper as well.
tires are decent, everything works but the AC...belt is broken and it was on the list of things to do but not anymore...
but the body does have rust....as my screen name alludes to.

This cruiser has been a great DD vehicle for me for the past 5 years and have put around 30k miles since I bought it. CD player and disk changer. The interior and headliner is pretty clean, driver's seat is torn (as usual). 4 good 33" BFG All Terrains about 1/3 worn. New windshield. Rear tube bumper. All glass is good.
I just found out that 2 of the cylinders have low compression and do not have the time or will to fix it. It still starts right up ever ytime and drives fine...just a bit lacking on the power. It does not blow smoke or anything like that. I just drove it from Buena Vista to Denver (200 miles over 3 mountain passes) and back and it did just fine- not going to win any races though.

pretty solid, little rust behind rear tires, a few dents here and there, cracked windshield on passenger side. drive train howls above 40 mph......don't know why or what is making the noise.
2F in-line 6, stock, 259K. 4 speed manual, locking hubs, power steering, power front disk brakes, good pads, newer shocks, and new plug wires. Comes with a receiver hitch, front tow hook, and heavy duty racks. AM/FM cassette, bucket seats, good heater [including under-seat unit], fairly good interior......rip in headliner by back door and small chunk of foam missing from drivers seat. The 4-wheel drive works great!

One Owner 1985 FJ60 LandCruiser
The frame on my BJ60 is nearly done. It's driveable for another few months but not beyond that.
Here's the good on the rest of it:
252,000 on a 3B engine. 5 speed manual.
OME shocks, leafs, steering stabilizers, medium all around. Installed three months ago by Metal Tech in Portland.
Veggie oil system hooked up to the engine with a separate tank in the bank. Ran 1200 litres through in the last year and it always liked it.
Decent body until you get to the back. Rust on the rear quarter panels. Couple of rust spots on the lower doors, and wheel wells are in need of replacement.
Near new Yokohama Geolander 31.75 inch tires with only 5000 km on them. Rad recently replaced, new glowplugs, new batteries, new front...

I have an 83 BJ 60 on van island. Just putting feelers out there. I'm either parting it out or someone's coming for the whole thing cause they wanna take it apart or resto it...
Here's some details:
Engine is 252,000KM.
Body is in nice shape north of the rear quarter panel. Couple of small rust spots on the lower doors.
Frame is pretty much shot. Has a few months to a year or so left in it.
OME installed in March. 2.5 inch lift.
Currently runs on Veggie oil with separate tank. This could go with it or stay.
Bought 32 inch tires and rims in March as well---spent 1700 on it then.
It's brown in colour.
WIll post some pics in a day or so, but I'm thinking ball park with the OME on it, $5000 bucks.

190,000 miles. I bought this landcruiser from TLC Cruisers around 8 years ago. I drove it for 2 years the put it in storage for 6 years, moth balls and all. Over the last year I have found time to resurrect the rig. The 60 was originally ordered as a stage II restoration. Full HD Old man emu suspension. Steel wheels with 32" bfg all terrains, full sized spare. It has a Kaymar rear bumper with jerry can and spare tire carrier(both need sand and paint to cherry). An ARB front bumper and 2 driving lights up front. Warn 9000lb winch. Arb air locker in the rear, with compressor and hose for utility, tires. Interior has 2 Recaro SE seats with matching material on the doors, rear bench and the rear panels...

I'm finally selling my beloved FJ62.
She is super clean and mechanically perfect condition. She has 31 x 10.50 tires.
Other than that She's all Original. I'm talking all the way down to the Japanese panel stickers.
Probably the best example I have seen for 1988 on the forum. Currently on eBay @ $1.00 NO-Reserve.
She has 259k babied miles, and I have done a lot of work (preventative) maintenance.
The only bad is there is the normal drivers seat wear. Surface rust (small) under rear tailgate lip, and a small line of rust on passenger fender.
Trust me, the truck is gorgeous, and you will love it.
