Wanted Looking for an FJ60

I've been doing a lot of searches for an 60 in my budget. I live in Texas and am willing to drive as far as California. I'd prefer driving west to pick something up, but I'll take anything into consideration.

I'd really like to get something with little to no rust and and something that I could possibly drive back to Texas. I'm not throwing the idea of using a trailer out, but would rather drive it back.

Stock or mod'd. If it's stock, I'll do my own mods and that fine with me. Price has to be right though. Budget is under $8000. I'd really like to get something around 3 or 4 and do my mods. Or something that already has mods for up to 6. Let me know, if you're interested in selling!

edit: I may be looking at some post 92 FJ80's. Not really interested in FJ62's though.

Amarillo Craigslist an 87 for 3500; saw it did not drive it looks decent oustide seats looked rough foam showing; don't remember rust standing out; its a dry climate up here in the Panhandle. Know nothing about the mechanical condition.

Thanks! I just emailed him. I guess I forgot to search "Landcruiser" instead of "Land Cruiser".
 
i have been thinking of getting an 80, so yes I guess I would sell it. It has an OME med. lift about 2years old. Arb style front and a home built swing out rear. Tires are 33x12.5 Treadwrite. Roof rack is a con-fer. It is my daily driver . The paint is not great (clear coat is pealing) Interior is in ok shape . Drivers seat has a wear spot . Has about 150k miles. no rust . I bought it in Tuscon, Az a couple years ago.
I still have the 31" BFG all-terrains on stock chrome wheels as well. Gears are still stock . I swapped a 62 center consol and grab bar. Let me know what you think and we can talk more.
I guess you know I am in Lubbock, Tx .

Hey, I thought I sent you a message but it looks like it didn't send. I AM interested. The no rust part has been the most desirable thing so far. So something from AZ is just what I'm looking for. Wish I had an 80 to trade with you... but how much were you thinking about letting it go for?

As far as a price goes i am not really sure.I need to think about that . Is there any pics that you would like to see or any questions. My # is 806-781-4576. You can give me a call tomarrow after 9am if you would like. If I do sell I need to find a Cruiser to replace mine so what kind of time frame are you thinking and is this going to be your DD or a project rig?

Pictures would be nice. All sides of the exterior, interior, dents (if any), bumpers, rack, etc. I'm not in too big of a hurry. However if this doesn't work out, there's another 60 in Dallas that I've been talking to a guy about. It would kind of be my daily driver, but I would be selling my current vehicle to get a little motorcycle to actually drive in town. The cruiser, would be for driving out of town.
 
I have one of the cleanest 1985 FJ60 you will find. No rust. Few very minor dents, very clean interior w/new extra carpet kit available. 114k original miles, motor has 3k miles on it. Motor was bored and machined, new pistons,rings, cam, crank, weber carb, desmogged, new clutch & throwout bearing. Also comes with ARB winch/bull bar bumper (and original). Also have all smog gear and original carb. I am going to paint the roof (it had small rust pits from sitting for over 5 years) then I will take several digital photos and post on photoshop. The color is 464 beige.

I live in NW Washington state, a great time of year to visit is now.

I have $5500 into the vehicle and that is what I want out.

i have 86 fj60 recently redone with many new parts paint frame and with mods 124,000 miles selling for 6,700.00 negotiable live in south carolina if interested ill send pics
