What is a 65 fj40 with surface rust, runs, new tires and brakes and rebuilt carb. It has about 90k on the vehicle. It had lived in Wyoming for its long life. Sorry no pic,s yet. I have been talking to the owner every spring for some time. I offered $700 last spring he was thinking $1500.
hoping to find my old FJ40. I sold my mint 12k miles Red 1981 FJ40 in 1991 with factory AC and power steering. The only mods - BFG 31x10.50 on white wagon wheels, Warn Winch and Rancho Shocks. This was an all original garage kept cruiser that was never off road (too clean) I sold it to Cool Cruisers Of Texas who I think sold it to someone in Oklahoma. I will dig around and try to find the VIN to help with the search. Thanks for any leads
Time to simplify my life a bit... 78 FJ40, stock, smurf blue. Rear sill and doors have less than the usual rust. Tub was undercoated from new and is solid. Frame and axles still have the factory paint. Never modified in any way. Worst part is some shoddy accident repair early in its life. For some reason it has drum brakes in front... Was like that wh en I got it. A little body work and paint makes this is a nice stock 40. One of the best running 2F's I have driven. Will have a brand new clutch, rear main seal, and any other clutch job related parts over the next week. Bought it to restore and have massive project overload... Something has to go. Also have a split hood, 2 sets of ambulance doors (one set is rust free)...
Going to let the project go , I have way too much going on right now. Its a 68 fj40 with a 78 2f motor with the matching 4 speed tranny. Its lifted and has 33 inch tires on 15 inch rims , its been sitting for a long time and the tires have dry rotted somewhat (its a shame because the tires have 99 percent of the tread on them). The tub had some rust but the previous owner had plates welded in and they did a decent job. There is no rust at all on the windshield frame , rear doors etc. This will make a great project , I have already bought new : Brake master cyl , clutch master, clutch slave cyl , 4 core radiator , poly gas tank . It runs and drives , shifts through the gears and 4 wheel drive works. Looking to get $2500. Email me , pm...
I've finally gotten my cruiser finished and ready to play with and we've got a baby on the way. So, while the baby is good, the truck is bad (at least in my wife's eyes). I've listed it for sale on www.cruizers.com so check it out if you're interested. It's definitely a rockcrawler more than a show truck. It's a 1969 with ARB air lockers front and rear, SM 420 transmission, power steering and hard top. The rest is listed on the for sale page, but feel free to ask any questions at srestum@yahoo.com. The truck is in Bozeman, MT.
As much as I hate to have to do this I am forced to sell my FJ40 :frown: . The rig has not been modified from stock but will be sold with an 86 Ford 5.0, and NP435 Tranny, and various little parts. The truck runs and drives but has not been further than around the block in the last couple of years. There is rust in the rear corners but the floor is in good shape. All the glass is intact and the factory seat has been recovered. The rig is located in Northern California. Asking $2700.00 or best offer
I have a good running FJ for sale for $3,600. Tan in color it has a new carb from Spector, new fenders from CCOT, and a new windshield from Toyota. The windshield frame is rust free. All four turn signals are new from CCOT and are the high quality units. I recently bought a rust free frame sand blasted and primed it, because the current frame is rusted. Also I just bought another tub because the original has the usual rust in the rear panels, floor pan and the rear fenders. The two tubs together will make a nice original tub. The hard doors have the rust in the lower 4 inches but are usable. The top side panels have a little rust in the corners but no dents. All glass is in good shape. The fibre glass top is in good shape (no rust). The...

I'm looking for my first Land Cruiser. Would like a 1975-77 FJ40 with minimal modifications. Minor rust, complete truck please. Location in the Southeast (Georgia) would be great, but not necessary. Would like to spend $4-7k. Just looking for a decent one to cut my teeth on. Thanks.
Fs: '70 Fj40
hey all, the time has come, and i am being forced to sell my LC. first off, it does need some front brake work. i havent been able to get them to work properly. but then again, im not any means of a mechanic, nor do i trust anyone near me to work on it for me. im between a rock and a hard place. im sure that fixxing the brakes, will be a fairly easy task for most of you cruiser guys on here, heres some of its stats...: it has the original engine, with 60k original miles. both on the drive train, and body. three speed tranny, stick on the floor. vacuum engaging 4wd, and the high/low lever is under the dash> and it works like butter. it has warn lock-o-matic hubs> they will tempararily engage the hubs when you put it in 4wd, and...

It has a 351 windsor, C4 auto trans with shift kit, edelbrock cam, intake, and carb, mallory ignition, full cage, tilt steering column, saginaw power steering, racing buckets, tuffy console, rv disconnect, warn m8000, shackle reversal (LC Advance Handling), SOA on back axle which has been welded solid (Lincoln locker), hard top and doors, soft top and doors, 2 sets of wheels/tires, conferr front and rear bumpers, and conferr shackles (rear). It probably could use an aluminum radiator, since he says it overheats on hot days, but that's about it. Also included are the OEM front and jumpseats, rear heater, etc. The tub is in pretty good shape with 1...
