FS 1967 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser
1967 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser I am listing this for my dad as he is more computer illiterate than i am :D He is selling his 1967 Toyota FJ40. It sports a good running Chevy 350 engine. He just recently installed a rebuilt 700R4 in place of the GM Turbo 400 for the overdrive. He will also incude the turbo 400 with it. Transfer case was just recently rebuilt so the trans and TC are like new. Seat was recovered last year and is in great shape. Keep in mind this vehicle still needs some work such as a paint job, tires are somewhat worn but serviceable. The front drive shaft needs to be extended after the 700R4 conversion. He has tried to restore most of the vehicle as he could. Good soild running, streeet worthy vehicle that would...

Thought I would offer it up here before it goes to e-bay this weekend. Completely rebuilt 40 from the ground up. All new EVERYTHING, except for the cherry 1972 california frame, and 78' body. New GM crate 350, New NV4500, New Atlas II 4.3, and the list goes on to the tune of over $50K. I am asking $29000. OBO. If you are serious about buying a top dollar rig, then here it is. I cannot type everything that it has, or I'd be here all night. I'm dreading having to put it on the auction site for the same reason. I can be reached at (559)994-5331 for a list of everything she has on her. The re-build has taken 3 years, and it all has 3500 miles or less on it. I will try and post a pic or two here, but not sure if I'm allowed. I am located...

So I had an “accident” on Ebay. I bought another toy that I have been looking g for 7-8 years. I’m still married but I have to get rid of one of my rigs. So here goes. I have a ’76 FJ40. But you can see from the picture it is set up as a long distance woods truck; not a technical crawler. I had two rigs; the 40 and a ’63 FJ45; one lived on the beach and one was a logging truck. They both had frame issues so I put them together with the help of certified welders and the picture shows the results. The frame is 8 years old and still straight and level to 1/8” on the longest diagonals and would accept any 45 body bits including a box. It has dual cylinders for the rear wheels so they can be used like tractor brakes. This combined with the...
Must be a well maintained rig with no major issues. I realize the most 25+ year old trucks need something but not looking for a project Must be mostly stock (NO v8's) Prefer post '76, but will consider others. A cruiser currently located in the midwest would be ideal You Can email direct to jefsyl@wyoming.com

This truck is a good starting platform for anyone wanting to build a real solid rig. The Production date is Oct 77 so Ibelieve that makes it a 1978. The 40 is complete minus the engine, trans, and transfercase. Everything has been removed from the 40 for painting painting. I have all door hardware including glass and door panels. hardtop is solid. The rain gutter and fiberglass top are perfect. The passenger side panel could use some work or even just replacement. The drivers side ambi door is perfect. The passenger side needs the lower inch replaced. Both front doors are in great shape considering their age. The windshield frame is also in good shape. The drivers side front fender is new from Toyota. The passenger side...
1970 FJ40 w/ Chevy 350
This 40 Series is owned by a friend of mine. Non-original yellow paint is so-so. Interior is clean. Dash is original. Nice soft top, no hard top. Good tires and wheels, 4 drum brakes, Chevy 350 with headers, original 3 speed tranny, nice aftermarket stereo and speakers. I believe this truck may have only the original 37k miles from looking under the rig. It is really clean with no rust. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at the body, but I didn't see any rust. I doubt this truck has ever been out of California. I don't think that this would be a candidate for those of you who are looking for a purist ride, but with a nice pulling 350 and pretty clean interior, and an original 3 speed, it would make a nice trail ride and get around...
What is a 65 fj40 with surface rust, runs, new tires and brakes and rebuilt carb. It has about 90k on the vehicle. It had lived in Wyoming for its long life. Sorry no pic,s yet. I have been talking to the owner every spring for some time. I offered $700 last spring he was thinking $1500.
hoping to find my old FJ40. I sold my mint 12k miles Red 1981 FJ40 in 1991 with factory AC and power steering. The only mods - BFG 31x10.50 on white wagon wheels, Warn Winch and Rancho Shocks. This was an all original garage kept cruiser that was never off road (too clean) I sold it to Cool Cruisers Of Texas who I think sold it to someone in Oklahoma. I will dig around and try to find the VIN to help with the search. Thanks for any leads
Time to simplify my life a bit... 78 FJ40, stock, smurf blue. Rear sill and doors have less than the usual rust. Tub was undercoated from new and is solid. Frame and axles still have the factory paint. Never modified in any way. Worst part is some shoddy accident repair early in its life. For some reason it has drum brakes in front... Was like that wh en I got it. A little body work and paint makes this is a nice stock 40. One of the best running 2F's I have driven. Will have a brand new clutch, rear main seal, and any other clutch job related parts over the next week. Bought it to restore and have massive project overload... Something has to go. Also have a split hood, 2 sets of ambulance doors (one set is rust free)...
Going to let the project go , I have way too much going on right now. Its a 68 fj40 with a 78 2f motor with the matching 4 speed tranny. Its lifted and has 33 inch tires on 15 inch rims , its been sitting for a long time and the tires have dry rotted somewhat (its a shame because the tires have 99 percent of the tread on them). The tub had some rust but the previous owner had plates welded in and they did a decent job. There is no rust at all on the windshield frame , rear doors etc. This will make a great project , I have already bought new : Brake master cyl , clutch master, clutch slave cyl , 4 core radiator , poly gas tank . It runs and drives , shifts through the gears and 4 wheel drive works. Looking to get $2500. Email me , pm...
I've finally gotten my cruiser finished and ready to play with and we've got a baby on the way. So, while the baby is good, the truck is bad (at least in my wife's eyes). I've listed it for sale on www.cruizers.com so check it out if you're interested. It's definitely a rockcrawler more than a show truck. It's a 1969 with ARB air lockers front and rear, SM 420 transmission, power steering and hard top. The rest is listed on the for sale page, but feel free to ask any questions at srestum@yahoo.com. The truck is in Bozeman, MT.
As much as I hate to have to do this I am forced to sell my FJ40 :frown: . The rig has not been modified from stock but will be sold with an 86 Ford 5.0, and NP435 Tranny, and various little parts. The truck runs and drives but has not been further than around the block in the last couple of years. There is rust in the rear corners but the floor is in good shape. All the glass is intact and the factory seat has been recovered. The rig is located in Northern California. Asking $2700.00 or best offer
