1974 FJ40 For sale
:bang:Unfortunately I have had to make a tough discussion, I am going to sell my 74 FJ40. This truck drives and runs very well and is not a complete rust bucket. This truck has the transition F engine (F engine with the 2F oil system) with the 4 spd tranny. I would like to get $5000.00 but will take offers, currently the truck is very drivable. Below is a list of what I have done to it. I really hate to sell this truck but with gas prices the cost of owning a 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser, and well not having any place to Wheel it just doesn’t make sense. I will be looking for a 4runner this winter or spring; they are a little more practical for what my needs are. :bang: Rebuilt knuckles New tie rod (form JT outfitters, this is the...

I'm looking to buy a few FJ40's to ship to Hawaii for a small rental business. I can ship out of Seattle and Long Beach. Need power steering. Do not need hard top or hard doors. Slight rust okay. I am not looking for rock crawler ability or mods but high speeds need not be over 55-60mph. The cruiser can be slightly weathered but not beaten. Soft top, doors, bikinis desired. 4 in lifts, 33's--disc brakes etc a plus. I am looking to spend $5000 or there abouts per with some flexibility. References on prior sales appreciated. Possibility of me hosting you later on down the road to come see your rig and the island it now lives on. Thanks in advance. PS. I am a noobie and have limited PM capacity.
Married white male, currently going through mid-life crisis, seeking non-smoking, rugged and reliable FJ40 Land Cruiser, preferably ’76-78 model year, for long-term relationship, including long drives on the weekends. Seriously though, I’ve been unsuccessful in my search for a reasonably priced, un-restored, at least average condition FJ40. I want a “daily driver” without a ton of miles, that isn’t a rust bucket and preferably still has the original F or 2F motor, front disc brakes installed if it is a ’75 or earlier, contrasting white roof panel, original wheels, and long-term potential for being restored should I ever win the Pick 4. I’ve got my eye on a nice ’76 FJ40 on eBay from outside of LA with no rust but suspect it...

1978 FJ40 mostly stock FS in Arkansas
SOLD! Up for sale is my partially restored 1978 FJ40 in rustic green. Overall the truck is in good condition. This vehicle had all exterior body rust removed and was repainted in 2003. All of the body rubber was replaced at that time as well. It is mostly stock original with a few exceptions such as a DUI distributor & upgraded wires, headers, muffler and a black headliner. The upholstery front and back is original and in good condition with no major rips or tears. The engine was rebuilt by the local Toyota dealer about 15K miles ago. The engine has been desmogged and uses no oil. The four-wheel-drive is in very good condition with no issues (front hubs repacked recently). New items in the past year include: DUI...

Complete running 79 FJ40 NE PA $1375
SOLD SOLD SOLD The FJ40 has been sold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Selling a complete running 79 FJ40 in northeast PA. This truck has a clean PA title and is currently inspected and legal in PA, the PO was using it as a daily driver. The good: complete truck, all accessories work (wiper, heater, lights, horn). Brakes work, steering works (PO replaced the steering box and rag joint), clutch, transmission and transfer work fine. Engine starts up and runs pretty good. This thing goes down the highway OK with no obvious problems and is actually pretty peppy. Headliner is decent, visors and mirrors are good, rollbar is there with all pads. Jack extensions still in their holder. Seats are excellent- the fronts had covers and I was amazed to find a...
I have a very well preserved FJ40 for sale. I've owned it for about 16 years. Bought it in Arizona with the original 6 cyl engine. I later transplanted a Chevy 350 into her with the stock 3 spd tranny and transfer case. About 5 years ago I started to rebuild her again with a newer throttle body fuel injected Chevy 350, a 700R4 automatic tranny and the FJ40 4 spd transfer case. I also started installing power steering, a tilt/telescoping steering column, and rear disk brakes. Then I started building my house and I've not been able to touch the "cruiser" since. I no longer have the time or desire to finish the changes. The engine and drive train need to be installed, the power steering modification finished and the rear disk brakes...
