Hope that name isn't taken! :)

FINALLY I have a piggy again. It has been far too long. The body and frame and interior etc are amazing on this rig. Definitely has been restored at one point. Engine fires up instantly but smokes quite a bit. Looks like a chinese carb but he had a used weber in a box of parts that came with it. Anyone have a 1F OEM carb? :) Prob will test out a sniper on it eventually. No big plans for her right away. Too busy getting ready for Cruise Moab.

Hey any piggy vendors want to sponsor a pig run at Cruise Moab next year? Let me know! Also let me know if you will be at CM, I will be at the trail leader table all day Thursday and a reminder if you are driving an FJ40 to CM, we have a 40's Only Run on Friday sponsored by Proffitts!

Anyway. Lovely to be back on the Pig forum.

Congrats. Looks like you found a good one. Enjoy!

After owning a white pig and not loving the lack of contrast at the time, the all white is growing on me after seeing several come through the classifieds in last 6 months.

Yeah I have never been a white rig guy. My 80 and 100 and LX etc are/were all dark colors. But I am building a white 60 and now this white on white on white pig...definitely growing on me! And hides the Colorado pinstripes better. :)

OK some frame and interior pics too

Took the piggy on our maiden voyage, driving it 10-15 miles away. Driving around the neighborhood everything felt solid. Drove it on some side roads and did well, so decided to take it slow on the interstate. She rode like a bucking bronco, and anything over 55 was questionable, but overall she did great!! However when I went to get gas (the gauge isn't working) and opened the cap, gasoline absolutely gushed out violently, soaking me from my shoulders down, shot the gas cap several feet away, at least 2-3 gallons gushed out like a fountain in just a couple of seconds. Scared the living crap out of me. There was no gas smell before this, engine didn't seem to run poorly. Obviously I have some vent lines blocked, but man I have never seen that much gas fly out that fast!

Won't have time to work on the carb for awhile but a buddy is coming over this weekend to take a look. I hate carbs (meaning I suck at working on them) Busy getting my LX and 40 ready for Cruise Moab!!

OK back from Cruise Moab and that one red pig there that has one or 2 modifications has me motivated to get to work on my pig :)

Talking to Georg about putting Terrain Tamer parabolic springs on! Working on figuring out the carb and fuel pump issues. Then want to plan the first 2 mods, power steering and disc brakes in the front at least. Rear window works with the key. Down is great but up needs help but feels more like a wiring or power issue than a gear issue? Does not work from the dash switch. Then I want to drive it for awhile and see what else is needed. Would really love to drive it to SAS 10 in a few months!

Apparently there is an electric fuel pump there in the engine bay that may be causing an issue?
Is there a return line from the electric pump back to the fuel tank? What type of vent system do you have? the little plastic one same as the 40s or the big metal ones? Pics of your gas cap too...

Hope that name isn't taken!
Needs a real name, How 'bout "Caspar" (Casper/Kasper)?

Disc brakes, sure. How about plumbing a dual circuit master cylinder and brake booster first?
What kind of power steering do you want (how big a tire do you want to turn)?
OEM fuel pumps are not hard to find, an OEM correct carb might be.

re rear window: Silicone spray in the window channel will help the up motion significantly. It certainly did for me.

What's with the extra heater hoses to the driver side of the engine, is that for a fluid heat riser under the intake manifold?

I have not looked at it since I got it to my garage, Cruise Moab prep etc took all my time. I will hopefully get to mess around with it this weekend and I will get more pics!

Good idea on a name :)

And great point on the MC and brake booster. One step at a time!

definitely will try that. In this case, it feels more like the motor is not engaging. I will try it again and pay more attention to what is going on.
Does anyone still make the brass gears?

No clue!! I will investigate...
