Got 4* castor shims in the front...wanted to wait till most of engine and transmission were in it to verify angles first.
Starting to get brakes adjusted prior to fillng&bleeding.
Both prop shafts have new spiders and are back under it, I've placed the rear shaft in the front and vice versa...not much keeping the spiders in what was the rear shaft.
Parking brake is adjusted.
Continuing to get bits and pieces for the 2-F conversion.
Front shacke angles continue to improve as more weight is continued to be added to the front, but the rears are terrible. I'll likely be diving into removing leafs from those packs as little more weight remains to be installed on the rear.
Getting some head issues addressed soon.

Oohhh noo....this might be a problem.

No, no it's not an issue at all.
Also removed the bosses for heat shields that are not going to used.

What gear should the transfer case be in, when the shifter can be locked in position with the cotter pin?
Also, did a cold, dry compression check on the new 2f....120 across the board, pretty happy about that

Or is that neutral, for when using the PTO winch to avoid a misshap?

going to replace the fitting and see what happens.

Dropped a head off at the engine shop this morning.
All the normal things you would expect to do to it, plus taking 30 off.
Should see it again next week.

A new puzzle piece arrived...its a corner piece pretty easy to figure out where it goes.
Finally got all the brake fittings tight and mostly bled....getting to the point that I'm not sure if there's still a bubble or some of the cylinders are not run out far enough...either way happy that the pedal isnt just going straight to the fire wall any more.
Should have the freshened up head back this week.

hard to beat the feeling of a fresh clean shave.

Off with his head!!
This is one of the reasons why I took it off......red rtv was peeking out everywhere.
The other reason, is the bubba hack job, US standard thread, helicoil semi repair job on the thermostat housing mounting bosses.
Fear not, the pos hei is simply filling a hole till the dirty work is complete.
At this point, the only missing puzzle piece is a carb.

The king is dead.....long live the king!!
Next is throwing the hei away, and removing, cleaning, painting replacing the side cover.

Couldn't stand the blue crap dissy anymore.
A forum member reached out with a very generous on a very cool valve cover...so we'll be seeing more of that.
Vintageteqparts provided a starter.
A carb and a new lower thermo stat housing is enroute.
We're cruising down the home stretch now.

Absolutely incredible how different it has been to bleed these brakes?!?
I've been going at it single handily for some time...weeeks....mighty vac, gravity..all the while knowing that the two person way IS the way...problem is my normal 2nd person tends to release the pedal before instructed to do so.
This evening I decided that the 3rd person, who has been riding in cruisers since the day of her conception, has had enough of a free ride and should now contribute manual labor towards the cause, and hopefully would be better at this than her mother.....
While not a full success, there has been a huge improvement....enough of an improvement to call it a successful effort.

Its hard to find good help these days. Attention span longer than 15 nanoseconds is rare.

Good clear instructions, with a demonstration of what is expected goes a long way to a successful operation. Then there is also the proper carrot to provide motivation.
