Looks like you posted the number on original sale sheet lol

Your truck is 68 truck builds earlier than @Coolerman

Super clean!! It's your rig... but its special when they are this original with the provenance and all the other expensive words that don't matter. I'm even into the old-school replacement red hoses, not sure where you would buy those now. Carb looks clean too, recent rebuild?
This is the only info I have that was folded up in the carb page of the repair manual.

May have been a replacement carb and someone was considering putting a Rochester on it but never did it? Interesting.

$OR was expensive even back in the day, lol.

Solid ideas! I’ve heard the “just drive it” stuff before with other vehicles etc. I’m not like that, I love working on projects. I also built a 1/10th scale RC crawler of the LC.

Even if you “just drive it” you will have no shortage of projects! Mine is a sun baked original out of AZ. It has been an awesome experience maintaining the originality of it, but while completely refreshing/baselining the mechanicals, replacing the old tired badges, replacing all of the weatherstripping/seals, and recovering the interior.

Gives me a truck that retains that original character (and the value that goes with it), is reliable to use regularly, and doesn’t have me obsessing about door dings in parking lots or pinstripes on a trail (not that I take it off road a heck of a lot).
