I am looking for a daily driver FJ40 for my husband. I would prefer for it to have a 2F and it not be a total rust bucket. I am in SC and I will go out around 300-400 miles unless you can convince me that it would be worth driving further.
FYI - just because I am a woman doesn't mean I don't know anything about cars so don't try and screw me over. It won't work. :)

I am selling my 1970 FJ40. I have had the truck since 1998. I drove it daily for 3 years until an injury no longer allowed me to drive the truck in 2001. Once I went to college in 2002 I spent the next 5 summers cutting out the tub rust and welding in new metal, along with accumulating some good parts. I started the truck no problem a year ago, just by cleaning the distributor contacts off.
I decided to give up on the project last spring when I found out the frame had some rot behind the front wheels and I couldn't do the disk brake swap that i planned with out repairing the frame. It is trailerable.
So here is what the truck comes with:

Hate to do this but my rare 1982 FJ40 is up for sale. This truck is so original that the door buzzer and the seat belt lights still work. It still has the original Toyota gray mat. Where to start, its got a 4" Old man Emu lift, Kaymar rear bumper with camp light in rear, ARB front bumper with Warn 8247 winch. Original steel split wheels ordered from Canada when they were still available in 16" with 255/85/16's they look sweet. Dual gas tanks with original gas tank cover used for second tank, Brand new alpine stereo with gray tuffy speaker boxes in the back and Tuffy center console in the middle, new Alpine marine speakers upfront. It had a nice paint job but has lots of chips. Bondo on the front fenders and has some cancer in the left rear 1/4. Chassis looks good though.
Its listed as a 1979 but reads to be a 1980.

For Sale: as pile of parts that once was a 1981 FJ40. Was originally driven as a winter 4x4 here in central OH, so it quickly dissolved. I bought it from the 2nd owner about 1995. Toyed w/ the idea of doing an AL tub, but ended up selling it as a complete running project w/ severe rust to Tim. He was able to get it up to his garage in Cleveland and pull off the rotten tub in pieces. But the project languished for the past several years, and his new wife says "That pile of junk is not coming to the new house". so now I have it back, but do not have time or $$ to take on yet another project so it is FS again.

I hate to sell my ride but property taxes are a *****. This is a great running FJ for the trail or a date. Its not perfect but as you can see from the photo's its in pretty darn good shape. Took a 1970 fj40 hardtop with 23k one owner miles on trade.Restoration is 75% complete lot of new sheet metal was a cabin truck in Mn..Has the tool kit and pto winch and new tires, all the glass is good and the truck is in primer. Head was updated,frame was sandblasted and painted,needs to be painted and put back together. I have lost interest and want to sell but don't know what it's worth,what do you guys think?It was not a rust bucket and the miles are true and all is stock. Truck is in Moose Lake,Mn. thanks Steve

1966 FJ40, built as per my sig line. By no means is this a restoration vehicle, but this is a solid 40. It runs, drives great, tracks straight, and is overall just plain fun to drive. You can actually fit six people in this rig; I know, because I have done it often.
UPDATE: ***PRICE REDUCED*** I am looking to trade for an 80 series, can be lifted or stock. Otherwise I will take $4900.00 cash for the 40 (Reduced from $6500.00).
