Looking for a quick sale on my 77 fj. Previous owner did the v8 swap and is refereed with dmv for smog purposes.
Purchased 1 1/2 years ago as a project. Passenger side is burnt paint from being to close to a garage fire. Strictly cosmetic
Originaly a 77 olive, previous owner destroyed it with a poorly done purple paint job. Land cruiser is basically completely rust free which makes it a desirebale platform. Hard top in great condition as well as ambulance doors.

Hey guys and ladies I am a new member to the Fj family and so far it’s been pretty exciting. I just bought a 1978 fj40 with a Chevy 5.7 vortec, 4 inch spring over lift, and running all stock running gear and on 37s.
Now to buisiness I have a question on the sequence of how to strip down the whole front end on it, I want attempt to try and re align the panels to line up some what straight.
This FJ40 has a 3.8 L F155 motor and 4 speed transmission. It has had a recent frame off restoration, all body parts were disassembled sandblasted, sanded and parts repaired or replaced.
The frame was sandblasted and painted with chassis saver coating. All body panels were sanded, primed,painted with body color and clear coated with PPG paint.A few other details are as follows:
Aluminum radiator with all new oem hoses
DUI high voltage distributor with Live Wire plug wires
5 oem wheels sandblasted and powder coated
5 new 31x10.5x15" BFG all terrain radials
Interior panels coated with black Rhino lining
New front Procar bucket seats and hardware
Rear jump seat frames sandblasted and powder coated, and new black seat covers

It troubles me to do this, but just not my time to own one of these. With some huge personal changes on the horizon I have decided I need to part ways with my 1979 FJ40. I do not have to sell this, but it is currently in mine and my children's best interest to do so.

Tried some citrus paint remover on the outside, and the dark green and a gray primer comes off like it's water soluble. The factory green looks _good_ underneath. Protected over time by cheap paint. Sorry to trouble ya all. Check back a few weeks on Stella's build thread for updates.

Looking for a cheap project to give to father in law for his 75th birthday. This past week I let my father inlaw tool on my hj45 and he is hooked. The time has come to part with my FJ40 which I have had over 15years. The truck is a 4 speed manual , it has a holly carb , ARB air locker in the rear, home made winch bumper and welded on rock sliders. I had it repainted the original color when I purchased it. There is rust in the rear tub in normal areas, digs from wheeling ect. The frame is solid. I have wheeled this truck at local events in the past. Comes with 33 super swampers pictured. The speedo cable broke and i never fixed it so engine has unknown mileage. It has been sitting in the garage for the last few years. I did start the trunk today . I am located in Enfield CT. Hey everyone, I'm putting up my 1970 FJ40 for sale. I just don't drive it much and it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
It has a SBC 350 with a turbo 350 automatic transmission. It has a power steering conversion and also has disc brakes on all 4 corners. I had the exhaust redone last summer. When I got the cruiser it had a best top soft top on it and I really didn't care for it much. So, I rebuilt a hard top that I had from another project and put that on it. I also rebuilt both doors. It handles great and is a blast to drive. This is by no means a show truck. It's meant to be driven on light trails or to the doughnut shop if you will. It's going to need some work, and I just don't have the time to do it right now.

I have put a lot of thought into this, and now it's time. My UZJ40 is up for sale. It's time to do another project, and I don't have the space to keep this one. I don't have to sell it, and I will only consider selling to someone that will care for it and use it as much as I have. I am only posting one picture here, but there are hundreds in my build threads linked below. The condition of the vehicle and everything in it is still as new. It has been garaged all but about 20 days since it was rebuilt. It has been driven in the rain less than 5 times, and in the snow once.
