Hello Mudders,

Its with a heavy heart that I am letting go of my 40. Mainly because I have a chance to buy an old 72 cheby pickup that belonged to my father. But I do need a commuter while I take my 80 down for heart transplant as well.

Got the air locker air lines ran yesterday and field tested. they work great. The other small stuff is all easily fixable I have just had too many irons in the fire as of late. Just put the tires on a few months back Cali reg is due this month. 100$

please PM me with any questions or my cell is 805-760-8121 Ruben.

Thanks

1970 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 PRICE DROP!!!!

glws - just a heads up - in your ad you talk about a hardtop and then at the bottom you mention that it isn't included with the sale - kinda confusing

Thanks. I just re read it.

I think you are referring to mention of 2 colors on top of original baby blue on the rig itself. Yeah it does read a lil confusing tho.

Sorry.

No top. Its in Cali.......

on Ebay now. I need to get this rig sold before some ****face jumps on my dads truck!!

I would really rather see it go to a Mudder than some who knows who........ my reserve n there is 13,500 which I believe is a great deal for a rig built to this spec.

but I need it gone either way lockers work good. Mounting plate ordered.

Someone should buy this 40 if it's still for sale. If it weren't so far away from me and I weren't looking for a stock 40 I'd be all over it.

No SORRY.

I can only stomach so many cl flakes....

I copied and pasted post here.

Rig is on ebay AGAIN too. 5th time not met a 13k reserve..

Lots of pics there too.

Bought this rig a little over a year ago with the intention of keeping it forever. But I already have a 94 FZJ80..... That im building up, & need cash to finish....& realized I don't NEED two 4x4's... So this beauty that ive called she HULK has got to go. Plus im trying to purchase my dads old truck.

Honestly most of this stuff is brand new. The air lockers are un used as air lines WERE JUST RUN TODAY. Lockers work perfect. . The whole build has less than 1000 miles...

Known issues
Wipers intermittent

Heater only works on low. Just needs a resistor.

Blinker indicators on dash don't work. Nor the hazard switch.

Paint color was originally baby blue. Has 2 colors on top of the original color. the.... current color is john deer green....Paint is decent, and shines up nice, but had a few spots that look suspect to bad prep work. If I was to keep it, I would paint it. The right way. Frame was sprayed with some kind of liner and is in excellent rust free shape. rest of liner should be removed tho. My plan was to run it for a couple years, take it apart, do the frame and body right then take it easier in her.

Other than that this rig is super sweet n turn key. Cranks right up, drives straight and true, n top speed is 70 mph but that is all wound out. Will do 60-65 comfortably.

THIS IS A CALIFORNIA VEHICLE. NOT A WHOLE LOT OF RUST TO TALK ABOUT.

Reserve is fair. add this stuff up. you CANT build it for what I am asking. PLUS this stuff is like brand new.

NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS.

Also no top included. Just the family bikini top.

Thanks again

NOTE: just to be clear, the headlights, tail lights, marker lights, blinkers ALL WORK. the dash indicators for the blinkers do not. They are simply not wired in. The hazard switch is also not wired in.

But all lights work, except the reverse light. Never checked it, so not sure there.

12,500 firm. This price is a STEAL.

His computer only went back to 1982 .....

But there's the numbers. She runs very strong still.

Nice 40! I know it doesn't help you sell it but the timing is just a bit off for me to be a serious looker. I'm about 6mos.-1yr away from looking for a solid base to build. Free bump none the less. If anyone is interested in a local taking a look at this 40 for them, let me know. I'm 40 mins away and would be happy to make the trip. It'd give me an excuse to look at it anyway. @70Cruza Best of luck on the sale, seems to be priced fairly.

SOLD!!!

Half hour later, I bought my dad's old truck.

Fudge yes.,!!

12.5 to a very cool dude, that kept calling it a jeep.......... :(

I told him, it would be a few months before he realized what an amazing deal he got.

AND I told him, everytime he said jeep, .......

"Its NOT a jeep' it's a Landcruiser...!!"

Took a walk around video, so peeps can see what they freaking missed the f out on.

This was a bitchin rig.

Happy 4th.
