Took Merl and the dingo camping after I dropped the wife and kid off at the airport. Quick trip up to Vermont to pop the tent and cook some steaks. First time actually sleeping in the new tent, carrying a 55lb chunky dingo up the ladder with one arm was awesome lol he needs to go on a diet. Found a couple puddles and made a mess. Love this truck, looking forward to some boost here soon from @Cruisers and Co so I can love it even more.

😎
Did the dingo get his own steak? Your rig looks formidable.

Took the family camping last week. Leroys 10th birthday also, makes me feel old. Was nice to stare at some water and make a fire.
I think some sort of cargo trailer/tear drop thing is in the future. Move the GFC and anwning over to the trailer and build something to have indoor space and a home base. Plus the @Cruisers and Co turbo will help with some extra weight. Itching for that one.

Boost time baby! Got everything in from @Cruisers and Co and I am stoked. Hoping to get this installed quickly but am considering getting the hot stuff cerakoted, need to find a place locally if I can.
Going with the stage 1 turbo with front mount intercooler. Along with that I got their catch can kit and they printed me a two pod gauge a-pillar mount along with getting some Auto Meter boost and AFR gauges.

@Cruisers and Co No, I didn't want to take the turbo apart lol but now i'm second guessing myself! First time messing with turbos, I took it out of the box and put it back in the box, need to dig in and see how much disassembly is involved. Seems like the inlet housing is easier to come off then the exhaust side, I was assuming the whole turbo needs to get broken down.

It's pretty easy to dissemble just don't drop it. Remove c clip from wastegate rod, remove two bolts in the compressor housing holding wastegate body. Remove 6 bolts from the exhaust housing to the center cartridge and gently take off the exhaust housing. Same with the compressor housing. Then put the cartridge somewhere safe.

Definitely don't want to drop it haha! Sounds easy enough, looks like I have some tinkering and another trip to the cerakoters to make, and more colors to choose for the compressor housing! Thanks for the tips!
I would not coat the inside of the compressor housing, outside is fine

Alright @Cruisers and Co got me taking apart my turbo, now I need to pick a color for the compressor side. Going with black for the rest of the system. Might go with something crazy like gold but also might keep it tamed and go with a shade of silver/grey, I am undecided. @Cruisers and Co I know you said don’t coat the inside of the compressor side, what about the exhaust side?

Wouldn't do the inside of either, but would definitely do the exhaust side in something that will help keep heat in and under hood temps down. Gold would look good, are you doing the charge pipes too? If so again I would do them in a heat barrier paint the keeps heat out so your charge temps are lower.

All of the hot stuff is getting done in glacier forge black Cerakote, good up to 1800 degrees. Plus the intake pipe and all of the other brackets that bolt to the turbo. I plan on leaving the intercooler piping raw for now, they look really nice.
