New Mexico vehicle all its life. Can't prove it but I can provide documents going back to 2002. Guy I bought it from kept a ton of reciepts for it.3" notebook with all his papers and some of the previous owners before him. He told me he bought it from the original owners in Albuquerque. I believe him based on how honest he as been with everything. That I found broken or bad on the vehicle. He hadn't once hid anything from me. Good guy.

Gauges work. ODO is fixed and turning again. ALL lights except the headlights are new. Has a new headlight switch.

All the wierd emissions crap is still there that I know of.

Head was redone by Knightons in ABQ. had 2 chipped valves. All cylinders should be above 100. I tested about 8 months ago and that's how I found the chipped valves in the head. The rest looked clean and it seems to run fine now. Your welcome to test them again if you would like.

New paint. Original color. It's not a frame off. The firewall is the original paint. I did not do a frame off because the underside was pretty clean. If I sold it I wanted someone to be able to see the lack of rust. And any body work I had done.

The interior had a few rust bubbles that I had replaced. Mostly around the seatbelt bolt holes. The rockers have been replaced with new metal. The rear bottom was also replaced and patches were put in the quarters that had bad spots. You can see I sprayed the new metal over satin black on the underside. Your welcome to take a magnet to it.

Doors have all new felt, rubber, locks, handles, bolts, etc.

Only weatherstrip reused is the top, bottom, and window of the windshield. Hardtop all around has new strip. Mostly Toyota and CityRacer stuff.

Seatcovers are Cruiser corps. With one tear on the bottom corner. Not really visible unless you are looking for it. Seatframes all repainted. Antique nickel metallic. Closest color I could find and paint them myself.

I learned on this not to go with specter for mats. I'm not a fan of these and the t case shift cover boot. But that's me.

New exhaust. I chose a semi quite muffler the guys kept it pretty much same as before tucked up under the frame rails.

Hardtop was painted inside and out i did not put a headliner in.

255/80/17's on the vehicle with black steel wheels. They have a lot of life left. Super loud on the road tho.

Yellow zinc bolts in most places. Rarely used stainless unless I couldn't find yellow zinc.

Mirrors are original. I painted them black. They look better IMO.

Carb just gone thru by my mechanic. Runs great now.

NEW CLUTCH IN AS OF 6-27-17

wiper fluid bottle on order will be in by 7-2-17

Horn does not work. Hopefully i can get it going by 7-2-17

Rear heater motor isn't turning on as well. I need to figure that out too. I have an extra so I may have that fixed soon.

I think that about covers it. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'll upload more underside pics tomorrow I didn't want to get super wet after washing the underside today.

Factory warn in front I believe. It needs a few pieces I'm working on tracking down to run. I'm missing the cable pins. Previous owner lost them when he had the warn motor rebuilt.

ONLY if it comes with that cool little blue magnet flashlight from Harbor Ill-Fate Tools!

Seriously, though, beautiful truck! And the old white Chevy in the background isn't bad either :bounce2:

Lol. Using the flashlight magnet to show no bondo. The old white one was my dads. Passed when I was 12. I found it and bought it back when I was 21. Frame off, tune port injected, and basically a 1 ton. It's a monster. One of these days I'll post some pics.

Absolutely beautiful rig! GLWS!

Novice here but really like this one.

Fine looking rig! What is the original color / code? Seems like every beige-ish FJ40 is deemed to be "Dune Beige" but I think other colors are closer to the "putty" / slightly grey-ish tone that this looks like (for my rattle can job, I used RO "Matte Castle Rock" to get as close to your color as possible) ... GLWS

My paint supply shop in ABQ had 416 dune beige in the system. I wanted to make sure the painter used the right color so I bought all the paint. I took the interior toolbox lid and compared the underside to the mix they did. I figured that was the least sun damaged spot to get a good match. He put a dot of paint on it and it matched perfectly. The PO found a rattle can color that he sprayed on some spots that was pretty close. I was really thinking about rattle canning it but ultimately decided to have it painted.

Cool, thanks

I think you might be selling yourself a little bit $hort on this one.

Clean up the engine bay a bit, (gloss black the air cleaner and valve cover, and new stickers) then apply some 3M under coating to clean up the underside. Maybe a bit of a power-wash and degrease as well, then drop it for 25+.. Just saying... ;)

At this price a flipper will grab it...

Lol thanks. I wouldn't feel right doing that. If I framed off it yes. I really rather it go to a good home that wants a reasonably priced Cruiser to drive and play with a bit. I bought it with the intention of throwing in a 350 TPI, 700r4 but after realizing it just had two bad valves and was just too complete to dismantle I decided to clean it up. I have a 74 this can fund for me if I can sell it. The 74 is what most people would call too far gone. But I want to build and save classics not part them. Cash for clunkers still bothers me. I saw way too much nice stuff get junked
