$16,000 obo!!!!......1974 FJ40 with 1F motor, weber carb with headers and only 75K original miles 4 speed transmission. I bought this FJ about 7 years ago and started to rebuild it early last year which included: New paint (Oct 17) and body work including front fenders etc. not a perfect paint job but very well done for a classic cruiser. I rebuilt the top with a new drip rail and sealer also. Brand new 33" tires and wheels with 0 miles on them. New Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners. New Scat Seats and brackets as well as original jump seats, new seals all the way around as well as window regulators, new lights side markers turn signals etc. Tons of spare parts come with it including an extra roll bar, front window frame, side windows...
It pains me to do this, but it’s time to move on.

1974 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser
Love to drive it around town and on the freeway (yes it will drive 70 mph on the freeway). If you don't like attention and getting the smiles and thumps up from random people this is not the truck for you.
Bought this vehicle from a guy in Fresno 4 years ago and started to work on it. Body parts that had rust have been replace as you will see in the pictures.
Been driving this off and on for about 3 years now. All fluids have been changed after i purchased the 40 including differential, transmission, transfer case, brake fluid, clutch, coolant. Oil change were done at a regular basis. The engine has been rebuild. Truck has the original inline 6 cylinder with a 3 speed transmission.

1979 Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser. 2F Engine. 4 Speed transmission. Truck is owned by a 40 + years experienced Land Cruiser mechanic. This is a very original truck with new paint. Interior, glass even the Koito headlights are original. It has not been "restored ". For the past 20 years this truck has been garaged & barely driven. It has not been modified. This body has the outside fuel tank that was used until 1983, when Toyota stopped importing them to its U.S. dealers.
Go look at all the South American junk that all the "flippers" are trying to sell, do your homework. Then come see & drive a super nice 40.

Not mine and I have no interest at all. A friend sent me a picture of this 40. I spoke to the owner...Wendall. He said it has a V8, SOA, locker. He said any rust it had was removed prior to the diamond plate. He has $15,000 in it. You can talk price. His phone number is on picture.

He calls it a "collector's dream" but to me it looks like a collector's nightmare.

I have a 75 fj40 rolling chassis with a complete 2f,4speed, t-case, and a pretty good tub. I don't have a title for it so no title is included.
I would like to sell it all together but if that doesn't work I will sell the tub seperate of the chassis. The tube is pretty rust free except for the rear sill. The rear fenderwells have been cut.

The time has come for me to part with my beloved 1976 Toyota fj40. I have driven it rarely, and never off road, despite its capabilities. It is a rare rust free specimen! Attention has been paid to every detail. Restoration has been thorough and many updates made to make it a pleasure to drive. It is highly reliable and is ready to drive, given the added fuel injection. The ride is as plush as an fj40 gets, with top of the line shocks, new tie rods, leaf springs and steering stabilizers. I am asking a fraction of the money I have in it. Putting it plainly, I don’t drive it nearly enough and needs someone who appreciates the the vehicle and the investment. Please email with questions. Fj40 project or great parts rig. Has complete original drivetrain with pto, but hasn't run for years. No interior to speak of, no hood, and no glass. Has the usual rust but is fixable. 1979 Toyota FJ-40 - Beautifully restored & very well done with over $7,800 in recent maintenance. Blue with charcoal interior. Originally a Texas car, then went to Washington State, & now in Monterey, CA. It is the best driving 40 I've ever driven. It's the original 4.2-liter F2 OHV inline-6 motor, which runs strong. Under this restored Forrest Green paint is a 4-speed manual transmission and the 2F inline 6-cylinder motor. It’s had an upgraded Weber 38-38 Outlaw Carburetor for reliability. The Toyota inline 6 are well known for long-life spans and when properly maintained can last up to 500,000 miles. This rig comes with only 78,500 original miles, offering many more years of fun.
The interior is mostly original with 3 Autometer updated gauges (oil, volts water). Rear seats are the desirable inward facing, folding-rear bench seats. Five New 33” BF Goodrich All Terrain tires complete the rolling stock.
