Made something awesome for it. I cut a few of these out for friends, and myself. Didn't really have a plan for it other then just it was cool. Then I realized it fit perfect inside the wheel on the spare tire mount. :)

Going to drill some holes in it and plug weld it on there when I finally get around to building my bumper/tire carrier.

Lucky for me I only had to pay for the hardware. So I'm at $38.00 each. They are pretty sturdy. I'm gonna lend them to a friend who is setting up a frame and drive train project right now. He is going to do the strength test :D

How much weight bearing should they be good for?

Got the throttle cable built and installed. Also welded in the oxygen sensor and worked on some more wiring.

I ordered rear "heavies" leaf springs from Man-a-Fre today and they will arrive on Friday. I had hoped to will-call them at McCoys in Cucamonga, which is just about a half mile from my shop, but they were not in stock there. They have pallets of leaf springs for both Man-a-fre and Spector. I am setting up an account with them and they gave me the 25 cent tour.

While they don't sell off the shelf to the public, they do make U bolts on the spot, while you wait, for walk in customers.

So is Man- a- Fre back in business or were these the "old stock" sell off??

LBM:confused:

Welded in the new rocker panel, and bit of the rear quarter panel just behind the rocker panel. Sanded and shot some primer. Now I have A straight panel in at least one spot on the rig.

Looks great to see straight panels with factory looking seams instead of bondo. Great job!
