Finally got it back from the shop after the disastrous wheel-snapping off-while-driving-down-the-highway incident. Just picked up some barely used 33x10.5x15's that I'd like to put on some stock steelies. With that said though... I know a lot of you have mounted those KM2s in that size to stock wheels. Is it safe? I mean it does say "danger! Do not mount to 15x5.5 wheels"
Swapped over the steering box......back to the original! Turns out the riginal box was in better shape than the replacement!
Also changed the leaking tranny oil seal, moved the only horn down to fit in a radiator overflow tank and fitted some new door panels. The panels are not as nice as the originals, so I would really like to get them re-done.
Found out that my 16 x 8.5 inch wheels re-modellled my rear panels - time to re-visit the body shop!

What color and what type of finish is that? I'm gonna be painting mine soon, If I ever get the *#*# body back from the welder.
Basically just a refresh. 40 was off the roads for only a week and a half or so. So sanded, primer / sealed, shot with PPG Commercial Coatings single stage enamel (close but not quite approximation of Dune Beige) and called it a day. Putting the pretties on now and I am back on the road. Someday I will undertake a restoration but I have neither the funds or patience now.
I tore my rear axle out and I am redoing my Spring Hangers, and putting in new Dakota Springs.

I have been running those exact tires on stock rims for 2-1/2 years now, including two cross-country trips at 65 mph for days at a time, and have never had any problem with them and always felt safe.

Its a slow work in progress. I am in fact very picky about a clean shop. You have a fine looking rig. The paint turned out nice. I hope to get me a nice stocker to turn into a daily driver within the year.

Hi All:
Laid the rig on it's side while 'wheeling today at Walker Valley ORV Area in Washington State, USA.
Was going down a steep and narrow trail, got hung-up on a thick tree root sticking out on the left side of the trail. Had to back-up to free the rig. The passenger's side front tire rode up the bank resulting in the napping position!

Installed a 4Plus front bumper for a 8274 Warn coming from SouthBostonFJ, installed one of Dave's 4Plus Receiver hitches also. I can't say enough good things about the fit and finish of these pieces. Awesome fab and finish work!
Fixed broken wire to Driver's tailight. Hmmm....oh yeah, and flipped the headlight bezel to the correct way per Claudia's sharp eye!

Thanks for the concern DSRTRDR but it was pretty pain-free.
Lost some PS fluid from the Saginaw pump, and dented the driver's side front fender some more (gonna be replaced with tube fenders this winter anyways.)

this weekend i lead a BBQ Trail Challenge that we ride in 3 locals towns. You must ride all the trail with the grill and everything for be able to cook for the prizes. starting in a very nice day after 8 hrs of rain..then continue near a dry road by the sea ending in a small quite beach in the south of Puerto Rico, not many Land Cruisers but was a blast day,lot of food ..
In a place i can't go up cos all the mud and slippery hill..so i decide go down in the branches.....snorkel head broke ...
yup down there... last picture the others have to use winch.and go back in the trail....where i made my own trail out ..
