Started a front brake overhaul. Went with the Autozone calipers, pads & rotors.

First time for me into the hub and outer axle, what fun learning the hard way!

Painted the new calipers

Cleaned and replaced the bearings, tested the preload per the FSM, and got one side done this evening.

Good job. How much for the autozone set?

Under $200 for everything to the door. FWIW I ordered each piece separately because the core charge for the "loaded caliper" was twice that of just the caliper by itself. The price comes out the same, but less going on the cc when you order. Also ordered the springs and pins only to find they also came with my calipers and pads so now I a set of each to return when I drop the calipers to the store.

Fitted it with an upright "chimney" exhaust, consisting of a 3.5 inch straight pipe leading to the rear tub, an 18" x 10" vertical muffler, with an 8" snakehead leading out of it.

Tastefully done FouadHafeez!

You've got a good eye for style.

Ta, mate.

Cheers.

Put in a new Temp Guage and Ammeter. The guage is working perfectly, but still no Amps! I know the wiring was fried before, so I think it is time for a little re-wiring!

Put on a new Rad cap and thinking about adjusting the injector timing. Now having another nice glass of 15 year old Bowmore Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, so having trouble typing!

Put in a new speedo cable in the ole girl. Also took out the light deflectors in the gauge cluster. Maybe now I will be able to see them!

Finished my minitruck disk brake conversion. To celebrate, I fixed up my 30 year old Norco floor jack that has served me very well. This was the first time I've even had to add oil.
