Replaced the headlights with IPF 7 inchers and added some FatBoy bulbs.

Cosmetically, I added a bolt face hitch cover.

Spent even more money on her!

10-months into resto-mod and it's still in pieces in the garage. I'm beginning to think it doesn't ever end. The list of modifications gets longer with each component I touch.

Sprayed all of the interior pewter color parts on the 40

now, just have to wet sand some of them. Interior parts are 95% done. Getting ready to finish off the frame.

this weekend I finished off the back end of the rear quarter panels that I installed last weekend, & installed the last piece of floor ( where the rear heater sits). I got one coat of primer late this afternoon, but the body is finally done!! Now I have to paint, then start bolting stuff together.
So close!!!

Just a thermostat and water pump. The PO sure did love his silicone sealant! Next on the list is the oil pan and rear main.

cool 40, what happen to your wipers though?

Just did some work with the fuel lines and filter yesterday. It ain't fancy, but it works and is WAY better than what I had before.
Before: Notice the line in front of the engine and equipped with a sad lawnmower filter

After: The line now up to the fire wall, new properly sized filter and the primer mounted just above.

I thought the little filter it had was still somewhat clean, but when I removed it and gave it a little shake, it showed that it was actually quite compacted with sand!

Since the filter was so dirty, I checked to see if there was a pre- pump filter which there was not. So I plan to buy another filter, instal it before the pump, replace the pump and lines, properly install hard lines, and the current carburetor is going to have to be rebuilt. The carburetor I want is on back order till mid July. Hopefully this fixes the hesitation and low power problems.

'63: threw a spare set of 2 1/2" lift springs and a spare set of 32/11.50/15 on white wagons on, threw '74 drum axles under it with new shoes and wheel cylinders, plumbed the clutch slave, tore out the old wiring, now on to re wiring.

'69: Decided to link it f/r since I have two FJs and obviously it's too simple to let them both be leaf suspended.
