Pulled the tub on my 69 40 ( didn't have to cut a single bolt what does this mean?) and dreamed of grandeur thinking I will have this done in two months, anywyays had fun this weekend tooling on my rig getting it ready to be my daily by winter hopefully ( I think Shiner Bock should help me pick the paint)

I just opened this to your pic and the wife and I looked at it and both said, "We didn't just to that and why is the dash on?" Before we realized it was not a pic of our house. It all looks similar (even the garage door) but I do not think I took a pic form that angle.

I put a remflex on the trail rig. The MAF header is badly warped and I should have put a bead of weld around one of the ports on it but I think the Remflex will take care of the leak. It already sounded better.

After what seems like years of doing body work ( since November ) I painted the tub over the weekend. Painted the inside first and masked it off to do the outside. I still have to straighten the drivers door and paint it but other than that the body work is done. This weekend I will finish buffing and polishing the paint. I'll really be glad (so will a few employees) to get parts picked up off the floor and back where they belong -- on the Fj. I also mounted the windshield glass into the frame. The new Energy Suspension body mounts keep jumping out of the box and then I have to put them back in the box again. I guess they want to go for a ride.

For the record. I hate you.

Everyday I keep thinking how great it will be to have at least the body painted and mounted.

All we did this weekend is line um up and take pic

Left to right , my 76 rust bucket, my son in laws red 72, and my green 67.

Got the Motor and tranny installed in my 78 with the help of my 2 sons 13 and 16 years old.

Pulled the trans/transfer case, rear diff and heater for rebuild.
Also adding rear discs at the same time. If all goes weel I'll have it all done next week sometime.

Well, I built plates and welded them to the roll cage to accept the propane tank brackets on the fender wells. I knocked out the Harlan CanOpner dents and resprayed the rear quarters, hacked up my dash to fit my ARB switches and now matching winch control switches, then resprayed. . Took time to blend in the radio compartment I had built in the past so it looks a little less ghetto. And, she had her first bath in a couple of years.

Installed H41 tranny with a 3 speed t/case, New clutch, Clutch master & slave, New Brake booster, master cylinder & all new front brake lines, Rebuilt both knuckles and installed new Longfield axles, Also did some under the hood re-wiring and installed a fan shroud, Actually I just helped Poor Wally (thanks Wally)
Next make a winch plate and install the winch,,,

I told myself no new skins till the engine swap was done. The engine is in so today the BFG 33X10.5’s went on the OEM wheels I blasted, painted, straightened and have been tripping over for the last 12 months.

I could not be happier – the exact look I wanted.

Compared to the bald 33X12.5 I had on before ( stacked in back in photo), the new 10.5”s with some tread are making me reconsider the necessity of a power steering swap – I can actually turn steering wheel with one hand!

I got my floor shift conversion for my three speed, and my new water pump. I will proably start on it tomorrow, then maybe I will be brave enough to drive it farther.
