My experience and recommendation with vendors: Cruiser Outfitters for OME suspension; Trail-Tailor for Tough Dog suspension.
You can also get stock height shocks (Fox, RadFlo, etc.) and stock height springs and run 31's to keep the look...
Yea...the water pumps on the F/2F can be tricky to fit, as they changed a few times, sometimes mid year.
Spector Off Road (SOR.com) has some good year charts and fit ranges
Cruiser Outfitters is quite knowledgeable in the year range and...
Amazing looking engine.. !!
Specter Off Road has an engine and frame VIN identifier.. Easy to use site.
For the water pump solution I'd suggest Cruiser Outfitters... Great resource for new parts..
Again, nice looking progress.
Just remember if you want to reuse the chrome insert strip to be real careful removing it. Once it's ruined it's done.
You can buy replacement molding from Cruiser Outfitters. Glass shops don't like 60's much, they can be difficult.
Late reply but for the next person looking.

I like and use Cruiser outfitters (Kurt @cruiseroutfit) you can get a complete axle rebuild kit from them.
Quality parts, excellent staff and service and super fast shipping.
If some of the others vendor on this site ran there business like...
Haven't been following along but thought would add a little tech. The FJ25 and first couple of years of the FJ40 used the same.tail lights. Difference is the FJ25 bracket mounted to the tub and FJ40 bracket mounted to the rear frame member like...
Forgot to add more maintenance task. Thanks to @cruiseroutfit for quick turnaround. I’m able to get parts and service one wheel bearing. Thinking to finish servicing both wheel bearing.
Servicing wheel bearing lead to finding cease/stuck...
I was desperate to get the truck back. Also, I was thinking a replacement shaft would be NLA.
I will probably get one from you and get it put in in the Fall.
Thanks.
Mock up and relocation of steering stabilizer mount. This is needed due to the power steering conversion that uses what looks to be a 60 series TRE.
Final solution with the power steering cooler installed as well.
With the 80 box there was...
The bed area. Two fans, reading lights and the Mattress is a 8cm foam. Cabin also has a 24 volt domestic AC and a matraxx exhaust and intake fan. It is a luxury liner😂
Ah yes, that is true there is a short spacer between the input gear and the PTO gear, so every little bit will help. Did you consider swapping them trans output shaft while there were rebuilding? If you find yourself back in there, we stock the...
I drove the 40 minutes to their shop and the guy showed me the original input gear, spacer that goes on the same shaft, and the shaft itself. The spacer was about 1.5 inches long. The new improved gear’s tail was longer still. Yes the shaft...
The 20 year old fuel pump took a dump. I may want to replace it on maybe? A ten year interval, due to the amount of scary fuel that was pouring out.
That is, if they are still available in 10 years.;)
Story short, Cruiser Outfitters, landed here...
If they cut the extension off the long spline input gear for use with a PTO gear, unfortunately it's just the length of the standard input gear fwiw. There was a manufacturer doing the long-spline gear with PTO provisions but they've been super...
Awesome - rotor ordered via cruiserteq. Looks like the LH dust cover isn't available for anything reasonable, so I'll just modify the one I have and call it a day.
Something-something, "'tis but a scratch" :)
Edit: 327$ and it’s the oem manufacturer!! Also when bleeding the brakes sometimes the old school way will yield better results. I used the motive bleeder but in the end I used a bottle with Fluid in it and above the caliper and pumped out the...
@cruiseroutfit has a OEM alternative for 350. I just deleted abs/lspv after fighting brakes and replaced booster and master cylinder. Now I have the best brakes I have ever had. I’m not saying you need to delete anything it just worked for my set...
More from Loom Works. This is a cast iron foot pedal from one of Toyota’s old sewing machine tables. My sons want me to use it for a fire pit grate. I’m sure it would cook up some good steaks. Imagine TOYOTA sear marks.
Speaking of shifter knobs, I came across this one a few years back and added it to my collection of random old fun Toyota stuff. Anyone know what it was originally on?
