Installed an FJ60 steering wheel in Lilred while we decide how to attack restoring our original steering wheel. Thank you @knuckle47 for the steering wheel. Fits and works great.

Started my 40 today to make sure she’s running properly before converting to a sniper only to find out that I have antifreeze leaking underneath my bell housing.
This makes me sick to my stomach.

There's a 50mm core plug on the back of the block. I'm trying to remember if it's behind the flywheel.

Lord I hope not because I don’t want to have to pull the transmission
Pulling the transmission/t-case combo isn’t that much of a thing if the plug is really the issue.
easily done in a few hours if not doing a bunch of “while you’re in there”.

Do you have any other thoughts where it might be coming from?

Given the close proximity of the firewall mounted heater control valve and the drip you see, check this “warm pull” action to double check…I discovered a slow but steady drip when that valve was in the closed position on my 40. It did not drip when I pulled that knob for heat…but, it was summer so I Replaced that valve easily

I checked everywhere else and the surrounding area of the flywheel cover doesn’t have anything running on either side of it.
I wiped the flywheel cover where its dripping from and once I finished wiping it started dripping again.

Of course you checked the base of the head at the rear, right? Can you pressurize the cooling system and see anything more pronounced?

That’s for the insight. I did look in that area earlier and it looked dry but can try that.

You can get a loan a tool pressure tester at the local box a/p store. Remove the inspection cover and take a look.

I took the transmission down. I forgot/didn’t understood change the input axle seal when everything was open. 🤦🏻‍♂️ That chinese cheap motocross bike lift was a big help. So tight to get off, maybe easier with the bellhousing? 3B and H41 here.
