Nice build! Never see the brake lines routed on the PS fender like you did. Usually comes across the firewall and the tee fitting further down. The upside down U-shape is likely to trap air.

This is the original routing on the early rigs. My ‘67 was the same until I ran a dual bowl master.

Shouldn't there be some flexible portion or a spiral to allow the lines to flex when the body and chassis flex?

I noticed a few days ago that she was starting sluggish, so instead of taking out the carburetor I gave her some high octane additive. She's running 100% better!

I do not think so, I have priarilly worked on 1962, 1963, 1969 and had never even seen those spirals untill later.

I am not being critical, just asking because it's different from my experience, and looks like the long way around the barn.

It's the way toyota saw fit to run them for 8 or 9 model years worth of 40s.

One more question. How did you get that plate in Hawaii

They are from a company called Sykopaths (I think out of Canada). The little lip at the rear, which I believe is for attaching a soft top window frame, is pretty far back and I never hit my elbow on it. As far as the plates, I got some connects out here on my Island.

You are correct, they came from them. They look great now, but had quite a few fitment problems and needed a lot of fab work to make them work. Plus, we welded door limiter tabs to work with OEM limiters, added interior OEM door handles, and some other body work improvements to make them better. I’m not complaining, as they were sent to me for free to test for quality and fitment. Not sure if they ever corrected our suggestions for improvement though. They cleaned up nice and we painted to match body color. Here are some pics:
