I do not think so, I have priarilly worked on 1962, 1963, 1969 and had never even seen those spirals untill later.Shouldn't there be some flexible portion or a spiral to allow the lines to flex when the body and chassis flex?
like the long one from the master down to the first union? that guy is like 3 ft long.Shouldn't there be some flexible portion or a spiral to allow the lines to flex when the body and chassis flex?
I am not being critical, just asking because it's different from my experience, and looks like the long way around the barn.like the long one from the master down to the first union? that guy is like 3 ft long.
It's the way toyota saw fit to run them for 8 or 9 model years worth of 40s.I am not being critical, just asking because it's different from my experience, and looks like the long way around the barn.
The lady that wrapped the steering wheel!Took the 40 out during a break in the rain, found some sand, played around for a bit.

I was kinda thinking the same. What half doors are those.(The half doors)
Metal vs fiberglass
They’re real and they’re spectacular…16 GA. sheet metal and solidly constructed. Are those real or synthetic?

They are from a company called Sykopaths (I think out of Canada). The little lip at the rear, which I believe is for attaching a soft top window frame, is pretty far back and I never hit my elbow on it. As far as the plates, I got some connects out here on my Island.I was kinda thinking the same. What half doors are those.
Does your elbow hit that lip often?
One more question. How did you get that plate in Hawaii![]()
You are correct, they came from them. They look great now, but had quite a few fitment problems and needed a lot of fab work to make them work. Plus, we welded door limiter tabs to work with OEM limiters, added interior OEM door handles, and some other body work improvements to make them better. I’m not complaining, as they were sent to me for free to test for quality and fitment. Not sure if they ever corrected our suggestions for improvement though. They cleaned up nice and we painted to match body color. Here are some pics:Looks like @Aloha Jen ‘s doors maybe came from the link below? Surfboards and Cruisers would be a good cruiser meet up theme.@Aloha Jen are the port openings on the inside open to the floor or are there “shelves” in those storage pocket openings?
I applaud you man, living the life. You can never have too many surfboards or land cruisers.
@Aloha Jen I cant remember on your build, what tailgate did you use? Thanks!Took the 40 out during a break in the rain, found some sand, played around for a bit.
