Just cruising down the Interstate this morning, even passed a few cars. Yep, I was just blowing the Georgia pollen off! :flipoff2:

Once every other month I stretch it's legs, so too speak.

80 is the limit for me, at that point the aerodynamic forces start to pull the tops of the doors out. Plus I fear blowing an oversized tire off the skinny rim and dying in a spectacular fiery crash.

I high centered the 1969 JD 140 where I had removed a tree stump while tilling up the side yard so I had to get the 40 out to give it some help.

Sounds like you used the wrong tool to start with. Used my FJ40s and FJ62 to remove stumps. Pine tree stumps I've pulled out would have just laughed at that tractor.
I used the 40 to pull the stumps, except for a couple large ones I had to use big red. The jd is just used for tilling, etc.

More stripping and blasting...I can see the end of that tunnel, though, running out of rusty parts. Bodywork vs chassis and interior is a nice change...as is the warmer weather. 😆

Played a bit with recording in the garage vs just snapping photos too - I've dabbled before, but the garage is a different beast...good learning.

After starting the rebuild in March 2015 I finally finished it on 31 March. Finished as in nothing further for me to do but stick on the stickers that will be here in a few weeks' time. There are two things to do, but they are out of my hands. The roof and bumper have to be fitted and the body guy keeps letting me down. Daily since two weeks ago he has failed to deliver. The latest promise is for 09:30 this morning... The new owner is collecting it at lunch time when he gets in for the weekend. He is planning to use it to move his aircraft around, go to the boat club and of course the Polo matches this weekend. I live in hope. (Oh, he also has to provide the standard rims and new tires which he charged the new owner for in June last year when he promised to have it ready. In the mean time it is sitting on my FJ75's wagon wheels. But that's for them to sort out.)

Yesterday I spent 6 hours detailing it, including the frame and making sure there is not a spec of dust and that every fastener is tight while wallowing in seller's remorse. Serious seller's remorse. I cannot resist driving it! With the standard 7'50x 16 wheels the steering is surprisingly easy, just the turning circle is uncomfortable in parking lots. The standard drum brakes are more than adequate.

Only problem encountered is that yesterday afternoon I noticed it had gone "Land Rover" on me, with a leak on the transfer case. Doesn't seems too serious. Just a few drops after it being driven. ( Any advice?)

These knobs are at mid process.
Received a request from @scoobiedubes a while ago for the Uber rare turn signal switch knob found on very early 20 series rigs.
With help from @Indygbd (provided pics and measurements)
who may possess one of the only originals in existence. I refer to it as the "chickenhead".

I think it's actually nice for functional design and visual reference.

I'm now playing with the idea of mixing the chicken head 🐔 design with the traditional OEM design.

Anyway, that's the stuff I've been working on this week... 😎

This is what I think of when I see the term "chickenhead". They make the climb "What's My Line" at Cochise Stronghold possible, one of my favorite climbs, done on New Year's Day quite a few years ago.

Brake cleaner and rtv

All the steel wheel tech here.

I like the eTrailer ones I have on my 60. You have to get the centers blown out by a machine shop to 4” but the price, backspace and look are perfect for a 235/85
