Took it to get beer and steaks before lifting a buddies new pink panty 80, bought from another buddy, then loaned it to another buddy to drive home cause I had too many of the beers...

Thinking about going and checking out the snow and working on the 40. Thanks for the props guys, you've both been there for me- anytime, anywhere  bro-mance off :flipoff2:

So what happened to the old pump?

After crossing four countries (Suriname, Guyana, Brazil and Venezuela) i found a shroud and a radiator cap for my Lexus LX450! I needed them both badly, because of overheating problems in the mountains.
We just slowly drove through the city in the tropical heat, with aircon full, and after that into the hills. The aircon stayed cold (at last! :bounce::clap:) and the temp gauche kept it's head cool. You don't know how happy I am!
I had to bend the subframe for the radiator because of a bad reparation of the previous owner, to prevent the fan from ruining my new shroud, but it's okay now.

Where in Suriname are you from?

I was actually born in Parimaribo, but don't remember any of it cause we moved to NY when I was just a couple months old.

Was supposed to go and visit last year, but never came about :meh:

Installed Renogy 100w solar panel kit

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

That's nice! Do you have an install writeup? How many amps does it put out? How much does the panel weigh?

thanks!

I dont have the install writeup but it is very simple. The kit came with two 20' wires. I only had to buy two 30A in-line fuses because it came with the 30A charge controller. The charge controller doesnt have the output display, just led lights. Controller with output display is in the near future. Weight is less than 20lb.

1. I thrilled 2 holes and ran the wires thru the roof down to the ps D pillar using Heyco fittings.
2. I ran the wires along the ps to just below the glove box where I mounted the charge controller. I chose this location because I can easily take a peek from the driver seat.
3. I soldered the + wire to 1 of the in-line fuses and hooked it up to the charge controller. Connected the - wire as well.
4. I ran 12awg + wire soldered to the in-line fuse and 12awg - wire from the charge controller to my aux acid battery. If you dont have 12awg laying around, I think you can cut up the kit wires and use it. I have 1 agm and 1 acid batteries installed and this charge controller can only charge 1 type. I will eventually wire it to the main battery when I get the same type. That way when my main is full it will charge the aux.

I'm not really from Suriname. I'm from the Netherlands, but lived there for almost 9 years with my wife and three children. Still have a house there. Exact location is Lust & Rust, at the other side or the Suriname River, at the end of the sand road.

By the way, I see you call yourself Snake Eater :-) I have a video on YouTube in which me and two of my children cook and eat a poisonous snake in Suriname. It is called: Poisonous Snake for Lunch

More led work. Man those things are bright!!!

Rebuilt power steering pump twice, realized I forgot an o ring once i got done. Installed HID headlights, and they are fantastic.
