I also saw a video where they ran a few obstacles in a stock 80 and a built XJ truggy to demonstrate how much jeep > toyota. Might have been the same 80 they chopped in half. Dumb.

Amazing build. What lights do you have in the quads?? I have custom aftermarket projectors built into Depot housings but quads whisper to me periodically. Seems the quad conversion makes long-term maintenance/service easier than a custom headlight setup?

Got the pressure washer out so I could track down a leak- found a slow leak from the power steering pump.

Fixed a rear passenger window that fell off the track as well as a non working inner door lever. The metal bracket that pinches the bottom of the window likes to migrate forward, which makes the wheel fall out. I had to push the metal bracket backwards.

Changed the transfer case oil and was hoping it was low causing it to whine but no such luck.
Had to use a breaker bar to remove the fill plug, luckily I didn't break anything.

Mine did the same thing and I had to do the same fix. Works great now
Same leak on my 1994. Looks like there’s an oil seal in between the pump and the housing. Mine was oil and not ATF/ps fluid.
There is an O-ring between the pump body and the engine block.

Replaced fuel filler inlet pipe and installed new tail end of the exhaust. No fun at all but now it's done! While prepping to replace the inlet pipe I realized how bad my body mounts are so that is next.

Had a fantastic snow wheeling trip on Bowman lake rd.
Then replaced this leaking heater hose garbage with the one from @LandCruiserPhil

i know that drip well. i solved it recently by replacing the reservoir. this was AFTER putting a new pump on and all new hoses ~2 years ago...and having no leaks since. my old pump was leaking pretty badly so that needed fixing. this drip started in the summer, and things are back to dry again.
are you me? i literally just did this too. only slipped off the plug once. had to go back in the garage to retrieve a bigger breaker bar.

Another dirt road ride north of Phoenix:
We wanted to check out FR37 and the old cabin that's up there; been there many years ago. Didn't make it all the way, closed gate & Private Property sign.
Some fall colors on the way:
Boulder fields and Claudia in the LX leading the way
We drove the blacktop road up to Humboldt Mountain - 5138 feet elevation, communications equipment and a fire lookout tower. The pic is the eastward-ish view, Mazatzal Mountains & Wilderness as the backdrop, with Chalk Mountain to the left of Horseshoe Lake, one of the reservoirs on the Verde River.
For this trip, Martin & Heidi from Germany joined us in their Jeep, and we enjoyed the good weather and the company.
Now on to figure out why the ABS warning light in the '93 didn't turn off once I unlocked the center diff....
P.S. The ABS light works but is no longer on this morning when I started the engine. We'll see.

There were a few folks on bicycles... yes, the road up Humboldt is paved, but there are a bunch of blind corners 
. But the folks on bicycles are probably more brave than I'd be, and perhaps feel a lot more unkaputtbar than myself at my age.
On a bike, there'll be a fair amount of dust to breathe in until you get to the Humboldt turnoff. That part of Seven Springs Road is not paved, and dust is inevitable, there are always a few cars/trucks going along that road on a weekend.
