Rust is called cancer for a damn good reason. Either you completely eliminate it or it kills you. Pretty straight forward.

Spent the week at Sand Hollow wheeling with my Son, his girlfriend and some friends

The gulch type trails have gotten so much better due to the hammering by UTVs. The big obstacles arenā€™t that much different, but there are all kinds of emerging ledges and other stuff getting dug out that thereā€™s hardly any just driving along remaining.

Whales Tail seemed actually nicely filled in at the base. Iā€™m always too chicken to do the big whale tail line far left, but my son went up pretty easily on his 1st gen Taco on 35ā€ Patagonia MTs with just a rear locker. 124ā€ wheelbase helps there, but still. Middle line here:

All shiny and new again. This costs $121.57 as an added trip cost to ignore spotters.

Wait you replaced the whole driveshaft for $121?

A solo run to Bloomington Indiana to see Hoagie Carmichaelā€™s grave and then wandering the hilly gravel roads back to Indianapolis.

Figured out where all my washer fluid went.

Anyone know if I can get just the gasket between the pump and the fluid tank, pumps seems to work ok except the rear which I'm probably just going to plug off.

Made most of a rear bumper over the last couple weeks:

Got the two caps on the wings to complete, then pull it off and weld it up. Lots of welding and flap wheel work left to do. Then get the air compressor fixed up so I can paint this, the steps, and the front bumper.

That must be whatā€™s wrong with mine. Havenā€™t pulled the tank yet. I filled it up with a gallon of the blue stuff and later on it was all on the garage floor.

Working with @Delta VS to make sure our dual battery kits line right up with his sweet work on a new washer relocation and electronics bracket. Got the washer bottle relocated and working on the bracket for the ACR right now. Very excited about these two things.

For the first time in a while, I started up the LC and took it out for a little stroll. Just getting behind the wheel renewed my love for the 80.

Off and on I had been thinking of using my monthly bonus to pay off the DD and sell both it and the LC and get a 5th Gen 4Runner or a 3rd Gen Tacoma. But driving the LC again lite the fire under my ass again.

I added some parts to my wishlist at Wits End and worked on my spreadsheet for parts bought and parts I will need to buy. The spreadsheet includes work to be done and cost.
