G'day @everyone @IH8MUD,
I am just seeking some pointers and/or information (and maybe a keen party) with regards to moving on my beloved 80 series. I haven't hit mud or anything even remotely similar to it for quite a long time now, so she is a bit of an asphalt tart to date.
Long story short, I want to sell it.
I am here, writing this, as I want some pointers for selling it (and quite possibly, the camper trailer) in an upcoming garage sale. I have about a month to prepare for this event.
I am honest, so I am not going to run about and tart it up for the occasion, as it will be an 'as is' thing - perfect for a true enthusiast, or someone looking for their next 80 project.
It does need a little bit of work, but it runs, drives, and does what I need it to as my daily work truck.
It's a '97 1FZ-FE, Auto, dual tanks, 2 inch lift, and comes with all seats.
There is a range of spares also as part of the deal, so the buyer will not just drive away with the truck.
It will not be sold as a registered vehicle, but I will allow the buyer to get home with it (not on my perso plates though, so I will need to get some issue ones)
Honest - it does currently have a couple of small issues, but it still starts, runs, drives, stops, just fine.
Probably the biggest thing is, the knock sensor codes. 2x new knock sensors, direct wiring from ecu to sensors, and it still happens.
It has a couple bits of minor rust.
Decent crack (bolt from gravel truck) in front window.
Shockies could use some lovin.
But like I said, it still drives fine.
I want some honest and sturdy advice (pm is fine if you dont wanna post public) regarding the best way to let it go to its forever home. Obviously I do not want tyre kickers or anything like that, but I do understand that it sometimes happens.
I am located near Gympie QLD, for any Aussies that want to get in touch.
Looking forward to your advice,
Cheers,
Damo.
