STI WRX scoop if you didn't recognize it...

Supposed to be working on axles, but the nanny broke the aluminum stroller and I need to get it welded. Might as well finish off the fab on the top mount IC and get that done at the same time. But if I'm gonna do that I might as well cut the scoop in.

Installed a new (used) brake booster. Thanks to @Deathvalleypaul for selling/shipping one.

Took about an hour for the wife and I to R/R. Truck works again!

Thanks Gents.

I swapped the H1C for an HX35W, rebuilt and polished/painted the HX35W and have had nothing but problems with it. The H1C is going back in this week till I figure out WTF is ***t with the HX.

New bearings in it, and they are somehow pooched already, bleeding oil past and into the intake, lucky I didn't get a runaway

Getting rig ready to hit the road for a month again. And a buddy was cool enough to let me use his shop today lift and all. Way better than the driveway installed new axle studs a OTR we boost antanae and ground any spots that were trying to get rusty. pretty serious droop and I may get rid of the superflex arms by superior engineering if anyone is interested only because I may get the new hyperflex arms. Who's shop has a flagstone floor, i can't imaging rolling a creeper around on that. But anyplace warm and dry is good. :)

Plugged in the Ultra-Gauge and fiddled with it for a little bit (set the engine size and fuel tank size). Then drove a 40 mile circuit of city streets and highway. While moving temps fluctuated between 186.8 and 188.6. Maxed out at 194 while idling for about 10 minutes. Outside temperature was 48. Downright frigid.

Put on some LS400 Sun visors...they look good and are decent enough. Too bad they don't swing out easily.

Then I did the rear brakes and modded my LSPV in the fully up position with some aluminum plate, spherical joint and a lock collar...brakes feel a little better but nothing too different as I thought. My brakes have always felt real good though. Since I added airbags I decided it would be a good idea since the rear never goes down anymore...

@bajaphile
Use your 80 series visor mounts with the LS400 visors. They are press fit, you’ll need to drill them out as the LS visors have a larger stem.

Got to go out wheeling 2 weeks in a row. All 80s this trip and all similar builds. Great time.

I added an LX to the driveway. 97 with lockers, some exterior and interior goodies too. This is my first 80 series. Ive had an 85 Toyota pickup, few 4 runners over the years and my wife has an 07 GX.

I want to thank this site for helping me figure out what to look for and to better appreciate the "nuances" that make the 80 series special. Also, I want to thank @LouisianaRubicon . He helped answer all my random questions, personally inspected an 80 I was considering and went way above and beyond. Thanks again. As noted this post is useless without pictures. Got her last night, here are the am pics. @martinakl I hope you're not missing the LX too much.

BTW I fixed the weird angle for the spare, it is now angled inward correctly. First driveway/trail fix.

Installed the hellroaring dual battery system. Been wanting a dual battery for a long time. Very very happy with the setup, and grateful to have a friend who does stereo/electrical work like a heart surgeon.

Got two bluetop optima batteries for the price of one, love the local classifieds!

Next is deciding what I want to do for a solar trickle charging system...

Was trying to find a vibration.... I may have gotten carried away...
