Thanks!

These bulbs require -0- modification. They are much brighter than other bulbs I have used. They are supposedly the "brightest" available without any other mods. I have had multiple eye surgeries and need LOTS of light downfield to see what I'm doing and I love these the way they are. They are not enough for some folks, but for legal on-highway, I love them. I drive with headlights on 100% of the time. I get about one year out of a set. and I drive 15K-20K miles per year.

I also have (4) additional driving lights installed that are 100 Watts each of the old-school halogen bulbs. That REALLY brightens things up.

The bulb itself. I just did this and it's a huge improvement and really easy to do. I did it right before a weeklong trip in the southwest where I had all variety of roads and weather, including hours and hours of driving at night in the snow, and I was SO HAPPY I did this before leaving. Just compare the bulb you take out with the 9011 and trim the tabs to match. It doesn't have to be millimeter perfect. There's a lot more written about the 9011 bulbs on here if you search. I used a Dremmel but apparently finger nail clippers work great. I also took the old o-ring off the original bulb and doubled it up on the 9011 o-ring, since they are slightly different (only the low beams, the high beam bulbs have the same size o-ring already). I don't know if this is necessary to keep out moisture, but I did it just in case.

Passenger is stock and driver is upgraded in this picture:

Thanks for the info guys. I'll swing by my local parts store on the way home and see what they carry.

Gave "Easy" a new set of parking light bulbs and wiper blades. Then took it out with Baby_Dub to go find some adventure in Ventura County.

It was cold and rainy, but that didn't dampen our spirits. This was her first trip to the mountains with Daddy and she had a blast. As soon as we left the pavement she started giggling. As I crossed some ditches she'd yell "Wow!" and laugh even harder. I think she's got the off-road bug.

The truck did great on some easy trails from my old Subaru days. I'm used to wondering if I can make it over an obstacle, now I'm wondering if I even need to slow down for it. I stayed in Hi-range all day and bounced around the river-beds and canyons with aplomb. This truck makes everything too easy, hence the name.

Sounds like a fun outing with the kiddo. I take these opportunities to exercise the transfer case shiftier into low and the CDL switch so it doesn't get sticky.

I almost forgot the most important part! I installed a cup-holder. Granted, it's attached to a new forward-facing child seat that I put in the center of the rear bench, so I can't actually use it myself, but at least my car has a cup-holder now. It's even shaped like a regular cup! Now this truck has everything.

The child seat in the middle of the back seat is like Capt. Kirk's spot on the bridge of Enterprise. Now when we travel as a family I'm the pilot, :princess: is the navigator, and the little one is Captain of the S.S. Easy. Just as it should be.

They'll have em in stock, but for $20-30 each bulb.

Only thing is I need a replacement now so I don’t want to order them and wait a couple days. I drive to and from work in the dark these fall days. ☹️

Option B - pull your brights and install in the low beam sockets (trim to fit) for a few days until the new ones arrive. No brights for a few days shouldn't be a major issue.

You've got a lift and no running boards and you can get your daughter into a car seat in the middle of the bench? You must be really tall/strong/flexible! My wife tried putting our car seat there. Needless to say it is back on the passenger side again, lol.

Funny, coming from an actual GIANT, but I really am that tall/strong/attractive/intelligent/flexible. :hillbilly:

Really, I just tossed her in the back area then climb in after her to strap her down. Only one trip so far, so we'll see if this setup lasts, but I know she prefers the view to :princess:'s Lexus where all she can see is black leather and plastic from her seat.

And new seal and bearing and refilled with new oil and she’s back on and spinning supercharger rebuilt and good for another 100k and I made a step by step video with links for all parts under 80 bucks,,,,Check that, (EDIT) parts came out to 119. with new fill plug and rear bearing for blades FYI

Did you pull the rotors and replace the back bearings?

Good idea. So I went in there to do just that and found I already had a 9006 bulb in my bulb bin so I plugged that in. The previous owner had already installed a headlight harness kit and was running the Sylvania 9006SU bulbs. Now I have two working bulbs but a super bright and not so bright. Oh well, guess I’ll be “that guy” until my order is delivered.

Always replace headlights in pairs. It gives a more even voltage to both and they will be the same "color" when you do.

I've tried doing it one at a time and the second one usually fails within 30 days anyway.

I think your other headlight was just ready to die. I have been running one LED and one Halogen for almost 3 years. They would have significantly different voltage.

So YOU'RE that guy, driving down the road at me with two different color headlights, pointed different directions looking like Marty Feldman!!!

When any given bulb fails, for example a headlamp bulb. It is prudent to replace both sides. These bulbs have been doing the same job, in the same environment, for the same amount of time. If one fails it is a safe bet the other is not far behind.

Yep, I can't fit an LED on the passenger's side, because the intercooler pump sits right behind the headlight. Not something I planned for. But the light output is so much better with the LED's that I do use the Driver Low LED and both high LED's light output is so much better.

LEDs stick out much further :-/
